Description
A call came to me from 412-496-2453 and a man told me of a way to rent out my time shares through Interval International where I have time share points. Once I paid them $1549.00 I would be guaranteed to receive money when my place was used. They said they operated hundreds of hotel properties and rented to large companies for conferences. They said they had contracts with large corporations coming to Orlando areas who were looking for places to rent. I agreed and gave credit card info but then phoned Interval International and was told this is a scam and they have no such program. I was an able to contact my credit card company and my bank and I stopped was put immediately on the payment and the card canceled. This happened several weeks ago today I received a call from this the number I put in this report again a Pittsburgh number of a woman saying that she represented RCI a similar company to Interval International which I don’t think even exist anymore, but it was the same scam program. I was told by the Interval International agent that this has been a common complaint and that they pray mostly on older people which I am and get numbers through computer programs. I would hate to see this happen to anybody else and I hope that you can track these people down thank you.
