We were looking for a Wite German Shepherd puppy for a family dog. After looking through several websites I came upon Lakota German Shepherd dogs website. They did have a few White ones that matched what we were looking for. The price was $500.00 plus another $200.00 for shipping. We than contacted them through their email with inquiries about a specific puppy. They did email me with the specifics for this puppy as well as all the necessary vet check and registration papers. We then requested a contract and asked for the delivery timeline. Upon receipt of the contract, I did see some minor issues so I started doing a web dive for info on this breeder. In my research I could find no negative issues about them. So we then paid the $700.00 fee for the puppy and delivery via ********. They received this and had the money withdrawn from my account. It was about the same time I was still doing a deeper dive into Lakota using the phone number listed on the contract, that was when I stumbled onto the Tx *** website and read a prior complaint. Same phone number, same issues just under a different web name, nadagermanshepherds.store and bronzgsdfarm.store. The nada website appears to be shut down and the Lakota site was only about a month old, this may explain why it was so difficult to find any reviews. At this point it was too late to cancel the ******** charge. Sure enough, the phone number listed on the contract just rang an rang with no way to even leave a vm. I ran a ******Maps search on the address on the contract only to find it a Drs office! Sure enough 2 days later I received an email from a [email protected] requiring another $1850.00 for required Pet Refundable Travel Insurance. I did some web search on this and found them at an address in Pueblo Colorado, with a quick ******Maps search this turned out to be a vacant lot, not much of a surprise there! I quickly shit an email back to LakotaGSD demanding a full refund due to breach of contract, they promised that $700.00 would cover all costs and my lack of confidence that they didn’t even have possession of this puppy. I also included the results of my searches and what I discovered about them. They’ve gone radio silent ever since.
