I answered a cell phone call. The female identified herself as calling from First National Bank Fraud (????). As I had never gotten a phone call from my bank before, (and she used the correct bank name) I felt suspicious of the call. I hung up and called my bank immediatly to check. My teller checked my account for me and my last transaction was confirmed. Nothing but the call seemed amis. She said I did the right thing. The phone number is only one number off from the banks regular number, (a 931 area code). I almost continued with the bogus call. The number 823-1206 is all that showed on my received calls in my cell phone, but when I checked again, I got 855-823-1206. I gave out no information, but this was pretty hard to resist due to the number being so very close to correct number and coming in with no area code showing. Call time 8:57am Tuesday Jul 8 2025
