I called what I thought was a progressive insurance for cars based on a phone number I found online, I was rushing through my workday and thought I was talking to an insurance agent for progressive insurance that collaborated with GEICO insurance and said they were gonna give me a really good deal. I answered similar questions that I would when I am going through a quote for a car insurance and when it came to the payment option he began to ask about my card information, which I didn’t think was unusual because I had to make a payment. He asked about my credit card information, my drivers license, information, address, etc. Later that day I noticed that transactions were being made on the two cards that I provided to him. One appear that it didn’t work. The other one was the one that went through. Fraud was reported later that afternoon through both of my banks.
