I had spoken with T.C.B. Paving Company in September 2023 about sealing my driveway. They had just finished sealing my neighbor's driveway, and came to my door asking to seal my driveway. The person I spoke with, gave me an estimate of $800. At that time, I told him that it was to late in the year, and I would contact him spring 2024. I had some health issue and it wasn't until this year, 2025, that I contacted T. C. B. about sealing my driveway. A different person came to my door, then the one that I had spoken with in 2023. I had called T. C. B. two days prior to them doing the job, and the person I spoke with August C. ******** *** was "gun-ho" to seal my drive way and said he would be out at 1:00 PM on June 4th. He showed up approx. 6:00 pm and I mentioned that it was a little late, but he indicated he would do as much as he could. (By the way, he had his 3 year old son with him.) He started the work, and since it was getting dark, said he would be back early the next morning, on his way to a very important job in Laurel, MD, and could he have his payment at that time, since he would be showing up very early they next day. He asked for a check of $900, ($100 more then the estimated quote, in 2023.) Since he did not show up the next morning, I stopped payment on the check, that cost me $30.00, but it had already been cashed. It was not until 6 days later that he showed up, again late in the day, and with out notice and while I was out, and no caution signs had been put at the end of the driveway, and not knowing, I drove onto the drive way, getting blacktop sealer over my car. The quality of work was done poorly, there are spots on the driveway without any sealer, plus he did not prep the driveway, there is blacktop sealer all over my plants, it is just a poor job. Everyone is asking, who did you driveway. I child could have done a better job. This guy, should not be calling himself a business person, plus I feel I have been taken advantage by this con-artist.
