Commission Junction gave me an affiliate link to use to sell my product. I emailed the two CJ associates that had given me the link I should use to have them verify that it was working and all looked good. They assured me that the link I was using was the correct one and it was working. When I did not receive any payments, I inquired, and they said that the link wasn’t working and that it was going directly to the original product’s website. I had only shared that particular link with my audience, and I know for a fact that I made over 100 sales, and they said none of them tracked. This is hard to believe because the “incorrect” link URL has “cjevent” within it. They will not compensate me for the error they made and that caused me to lose a lot of commissions.

BEWARE! Do not apply for their Affiliate program. Unless you want to spend hours adding their links to your site and then have them try anything they can to keep from paying you the commission your site has earned. Examples of things that happened to our account in the last few months after years of being affiliated with them. 1 – You earn commission from their links on your site but do not log into your account for 30 days. They suspend your account and keep the commission your site has earned. 2 – Month over month they do not pay you the commission your site has earned. You open a ticket to see why they have not paid you and then reluctantly after many emails and weeks of delay they finally issue a payment to you. 3 – During cyber week your site earns quite a bit of commission. When it’s time to pay you for the commission your site has earned, they cancel your account and keep the commission. As soon as you ask why they closed your account they stop responding to your support ticket. And now the kicker. After they cancel your account, they do not deactivate the links to their advertisers. They charge their advertisers for display, click throughs and sales made through the links still on your site but since they have cancelled your account, the commissions coming from the sales your site is making goes straight to them. They are Enron of mass marketing.
