Do not go to this shop. Had work done twice on my Chevy Silverado 2500hd 6.0, and they did not repair my problem. I am very disappointed. I paid over $1500 and my truck is still running BAD.

Dear ****** ******,
We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with
Ric Henry Auto Service. As it is our foremost priority to ensure all our
customers receive value and quality in their car care, we take claims seriously
and treat them as opportunities to learn, debrief and improve our future
protocols to better serve our customers. We immensely care about every customer
and want to make sure we do everything in our power to fix the issues that
present themselves with your car on that given day. After looking back on the
history of the truck being in our care, we discovered the following:
11-7-23 This was the first time we saw the pickup and we
found it had a misfire on cylinder #6 and had a knock sensor code. The truck
also had multiple misfires on startup. After diagnosing it, we decided it was
best to replace the spark plugs and wires as well as replace both knock
sensors. After completing the work, we test drove the truck and no codes were
present and the truck ran with no misfire. We then release the truck to the
customer.
12-22-23 Truck came back in with knock sensor codes and
after doing further research we found that the particular knock sensor that we
installed was having issues due to being faulty. After reading this, we ordered
another brand of knock sensors and installed them under our warranty policy. We
did not charge for the work done due to us installing a part that was incapable
due to manufacturer error. After installation of the new part, the codes and
problem ceased to present.
1-17-24 Truck comes in running very badly and motor is
making a very bad knocking noise. After doing some further diagnosing we found
that the motor was no longer good due to a failure of the mechanic parts within
the valve train or deeper in the motor. (most likely a lifter failure, very
common on truck of you make and model with the amount of miles on it.) We have
no control of the wearable items on the truck and the maintenance program that
the owner of the truck takes to prevent catastrophic failure of the motor.
We take pride in putting the customer first and providing
knowledge to help the customer make the correct decision on their vehicle. We
hold ourselves accountable on our service and if the truck was to fail due to
component we installed, we will stand behind our work and make it right with
the customer. We are sorry that you truck had a catastrophic failure over 2
months after we had preformed service on but there was nothing that we did to
cause these issues.
In conclusion, we find that we are not at fault. We hope
that this clears up any concerns that you had with Ric Henry Auto Service. While
we pride ourselves in our abilities to effectively communicate and educate our
customers regarding their vehicle’s repair, we apologize you feel we fell
short.
