As things get sorted out with the home warranty company ********************. Technician requested full payment in lieu of waiting for authorization from the home warranty company and in good faith I provided a check for $2,075.00, check #**** and another check in the amount of $75 check #****, which is the service fee the home warranty agent told him to collect for coming to the residence and as stated on the warranty contract. The above reference summary invoice states the following, which I would like to have explained to substantiate the cost for a water heater replacement.1. No estimate was provided prior to performing services on 6/20/22. Although this was a service call from the home warranty company ********************, an estimate should have been provided to the customer in good faith.2. Failed to itemized services performed after completion of work, instead you provided a summary of services with inflated cost & this is highly unacceptable.3. I am requesting proof of a permit from the ********************** by providing the permit number. I went on the City of Lathrops website & was unable to locate a permit which was required. I also contacted the ********************** to ensure the permit was indeed pulled & they were unable to locate a request, but from the invoice I was charged $250 for it, which is highly unacceptable & unethical. 4. The cost listed on the invoice for a water heater was $900, is inflated because the Technician stated the company buys them in bulk. I inquired at ********** and the price for 3 or more water heaters at bulk price is under $600 apiece.5. Cost for supplies listed is also inflated I performed price checks on the following parts needed to replace the water heater & the cost does not add up to $300, a mechanic doesn't charge for tools used on a job 6. I further request how the labor charge of $700, was calculated since the technician was at the residence from 2:45pm to 5:45pm, 3 ********** has no license & 2 yrs experience.
