Bought a truck from Hayes in October 2021 and purchased a warranty through them. 3 weeks later the engine blew in my 2016 f150. The warranty I purchased didnt go into effect until after 30 days or **** miles, so I had no coverage or protection. After going back and forth for awhile, paying car rental fees and investing a lot of time and energy-Hayes agreed to cover half of the cost of an engine swap as long as they did the swap in their shop. I was limited on options so I agreed. I picked up my truck a week or two later and paid them $2500. I was giving an invoice for the engine they purchased and that was that-or so I thought. I quickly noticed that my front end didnt look right and within a few weeks parts started to fail like radiator hoses, the air lines for the turbo etc. My job at the time had mechanics who were able to help me with some of these things. Fast forward to two days ago. I opened a piece of mail from the **************** that I had received a citation for expired registration on the 03 **** F-250 that I had traded in on 10/02/2021. I then opened another piece of mail from the franchise tax board that said $470 had been intercepted from my tax return to pay the dmv for the registration on the 03 **** I had traded in 16 months prior. When I traded in my truck, Hayes said they would take care of the of the title transfer for my trade in and actually kept the required paperwork, but never did. There are so many other things wrong with this place like charging cc processing fees, which any business can write off. I plan to do anything in my power to stop people from doing any business with Hayes. I have a job, side business, 3 kids and a wife who has blood clots in her lungs from Covid-19. I dont know when Im going to have the time to go to small claims court, file complaints with the proper authorities and so on. But, I will. I just wanted to leave this review now to prevent anyone else from going through the stress I went through.

Bought **** T Bird on June 8, 2022. I test drove it but because the top was off, convertible I only ran the a/c for one minute. The fan worked but warm air and believed it would kick on but like I said the top was off. I had mentioned to the dealer that I was grateful to be able to afford this car in order to get to medical appointments. I have an auto-immune disorder and require a/c in a vehicle. I drove it home from Roseville to Clearlake and the a/c did not work but only blew warm air. I called after two days because I was too sick after driving for over 2 hours in the heat. I explained to my sales man and then talked to ****** who is the mechanic about the problem. He insisted that the a/c did work. It did not work. I took it to a local auto repair and found out that the compressor seal is broken and leaking and have an estimate of $695. I am a disabled senior on a fixed income and cannot afford to repair my new vehicle. So, I just bought a vehicle that is sitting in the parking lot. I was told by the receptionist that Mr. ********************** and ****** are "transparent" and honest guys. My car salesman assured me that **************** would most likely have me drive my car into Roseville to be fixed. There was no offer to fix my car. Good business requires honesty and sometimes just be fair. They are not. I am filing a complaint with BBB. I am so disappointed and feel duped.
