Stopped by to get estimate to replace 2 front fender liners and splash guard on my car. ****** helped me. He gave me an estimate for OEM parts and labor. He also gave me an estimate just to install the parts if I decided to purchase parts myself. He noted that due to my car being older (2008) I might be interested in this option and he wrote down the name of an online business that sells parts that are not OEM but still quite good. He was businesslike but friendly. I like that he gave me an option if I was trying to save a few dollars on repairs for my 14 year old car. He told me to call ***** when I was ready to schedule. When I called to schedule ******* answered. and he was furious to find out ****** had given me the estimates saying ******, an owner, was only helping out because he, the manager, was gone that day. But it didn't stop there. This man complained and just could not stop. He said nothing at all that was positive. He said he would try but basically not to expect too much because I purchased parts that were not OEM. He kept the car all day for a 1 1/2 hour job. When I picked it up he began complaining and telling me how difficult it was to use the parts I bought and how he did his 'best' but they didn't fit perfectly. That man did as little as possible it seems. The front left fender liner rattles loudly when I reach highway speeds. In addition the way he connected them to my car is sloppy. All ******* had to do was to just say 'look I realize you have an estimate but ****** was only filling in for me on the day you came. I can complete this job for you but I'm only willing to do it if we use OEM parts. and I'll explain why.' I am not an unreasonable person. I would have agreed to a proposal such as that. ******* talked rudely over ***** and was just a nasty personality. He is also condescending. I'm not happy with THE WAY they were installed and I feel I really should tell *******. But it isn't worth listening to his negative diatribe again.
