      The assist manager ***** has the most hostile attitude I have encountered in hospitality industry ever. I had issue with reservation cancellation (platform double booked). I understand it takes time to solve such issue when it involves a 3rd party, I patiently wait every time I call and leave messages when Im asked to for a number of times over 3-4 weeks. He never returned any call or message.The last time I called, this ***** did not listen at all and when I said you seem to be on rush, can you give me 30 seconds to share context so it saves you time. He said yes ** on rush as you call on weekend during check-in times. Then he hung up on me - twice. First time I thought it was a disconnection.***** - if you had returned my call in your downtime two weeks ago, I would not have to call again to inconvenienceyou. And not everyone knows about what peak hours are at hotels if they dont work in hospitality.Its pathetic for people like this to work in client facing hospitality industry, and the misery is shown to people who they encounter with.The most funny fact is that he seems to be the highest ranking manager at this hotel. It seems like this hotel is owned by *********************, whose other establishments seem well maintained - I truly ******************* at English Inn is not representative of how they approach services on.

      I have a friend and her family that are staying at this hotel. They were left homeless because of a house scam and all their belongings were stolen. The mother has a lot of very serious health issues. The City of Charlottesville Va. is currently paying for their room. Wednesday night the 3rd of Aug. 2022 their room ** went out and Thursday the 4th they were moved to a new room. On Sat. August 6th they were moved back to the same room stating the ** was fixed. I left their room at 11:07pm Aug. 6th and my digital thermometer said it was 85 degrees in the room. They have service dogs that the hotel is giving them a hard time about. They have claimed that the dogs ruined a room after being there for 1 week. They lived in one of my homes for 5 years with the same dogs and there was no damage done to my home. Surely if these dogs were going to do any damage it would be over the course of 5 years as opposed to one week. This family moved to Virginia and has been through h*** What they need is just a little kindness and not being bullied by hotel management. I believe the hotel doesn't like the fact that the city is paying for the room and they are doing everything in their power to get this poor family to leave knowing they have no place to go due to no fault of their own. I think it's terrible you'd put a sick woman and her family in a room where the ** doesn't work and give them a fan to circulate hot air around. 85 degrees at 11:00 pm is hot. It was actually 10 degrees cooler outside. These people are good people even having no place to call home and having these terrible things happen to them they still and try to help people when they can. It's not right that a company of any kind should use their position to beat people when they are down. What happened to human kindness? What I saw with my eyes are mean bullies and should be reported as such. Shame on you English Inn I hope no one in your family ever has to stay at your hotel. JLW
