Ive been on hold for 37 mins so far today. Another 2 hours yesterday. My local store is appointment only but I cant get anyone on the phone to make an appointment which I now have 2 days. I need to speak with someone so I can get an override code. Open 24/7 is a joke. The company is greedy. Absolutely no way its possible that many people are calling for these wait times. Also pressing 8 to receive a call back I guess is a crude joke that the company enjoys.Review from MICHELLE B

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is a money racket. My son had to have this on his car for a year. He was supposed to have it removed Jan 10th had an appointment, showed up and noone was at the ******************* nor at the ********** location. He had to get off work to go and wasted time and gas. He called today and explained he couldn't miss work again this week and the guy told him he would have to pay a lock out fee after midnight Saturday. He finally got an appointment at 5:40pm today to have it removed but now has to work 10 hours tomorrow to make up time!!!! They have you backed in a corner as there are limited place who do this!!! This is the worst service Ive ever experienced. Typical I wouldnt ever write a review or even complain but by god Im so sorry to anyone having to deal with this company. Im beyond frustrated and tired of this c*** Their call service says 24/7 but NOBODY EVER PICKS UP. Ive been trying to reach them because I accidentally turned my key before blowing which is just a simple muscle memory mistake, but for me to have been calling for 2 days straight left multiple voicemails, been on hold and still get 0 freaking call back, 0 contact with anyone is so freaking unprofessional and absurd. NOW, because this company wont answer the phone or contact anyone my car is on permanent lockdown when the issue could have been fixed prior if I wouldve gotten the help and assistance when requested. Now it falls on ME to have to pay these fees as if you arent greedy enough. This is completely unacceptable. And Im still awaiting a phone call from anyone besides that **** answering machine.Review from Mekkel H

This is the worst system I have ever used. I used Monitech in the past and no issues. Now I keep getting charged for not blowing at designation and it will not allow me to. Then throws a code i have to keep paying $45 each time to clear. On top of that, It wont work if temperature is under 60 degrees. I have to warm it up like a puppy for it to work in the morning. On top of that, my car has been in the shop 4x since installng this thing as there is some kind of loose connection happening that has shorted out 2 batteries and 2 alternators. And the loose connection is still there. Just a freaking nightmare.Review from Kiamma W

This is only company near me that i can use for this service that is unfortunately court mandated. I have too many complaints to go i to detail with. However, the first 3 months i had the device i stalled/calibrated there was a serial number mismatch whicj obviously was not my fault. When this happened in April, I had to go a week without driving my car because I couldnt get anyone to answer or call me back. Often it was the same call volumes are high BS. 24/7 customer service is a complete lie. One employee told me that many work from home. Therefore they get to choose who and when they call back. I have 4 children, 2 of which are special needs. I cannot simply wait on a callback if it is an emergency, nor can I just drop what I am doing when Monitech employees decide to call 4 hours later from the time I first called. At least Twice, I have been in the showrer when someone finally called me back and they refused to call me back in 15 minutes when I could actually go out to my car. Instead they said I would have to call back and get in line again. Also, this time I have a code **** which is evidently a missed arrival test. However, I have not had any missed arrival tests since my last calibration. I would know because of the horrendous beeping and loud program violation that would have sounded. The tech tried to charge me $45 to override the code. She couldnt even tell me when this supposedly happened unless I brought my car in. (How can i bring the car in if it wont start???? Not only that but i have to drive over an hour to get there.) I then insisted on speaking to her supervisor and I was told there wasnt a supervisor. As if having this device installed isn't embarrassing enough, on top of financially taxing, this company cant even provide the service they claim to. There is one number for thousands of people to call. And the local number listed on the manual has been disconnected. Such a complete ******** scamReview from Caylea J

I would leave 0 if it were an option. 24/7 customer service is a lie. I have been attempting to contact their customer service for over 24 hours due to suddenly getting locked out after paying them 45$ to reschedule an appointment. I cannot get ahold of the help I need and its entirely unacceptable to have customer service of this nature when dealing with a legally required device that literally controls my ability to get to and from my job. If I had an emergency situation on the side of the road monitech would be the cause of my being stranded there. No one answers. The callback option is broken. And the literal souls of their reps ***** broken when you do actually finally speak to a savior who answers the line. I have never in my life encountered such an abysmal service. To be legally bonded to a device for a year that has no one to help me when it messes up is the most unfair and honestly cruel practice of a company. This service is predatory and they have us held hostage by holding a government contact. The state needs to get involved and reevaluate this company because they are a true waste of the taxpayer money. As a professional customer service rep for a big bank, if we did this to our customers, we would be out of a job by the end of this sentence. How this is even legal let alone legally required is beyond me.Review from Toyneka W

This company is a scam and someone needs to take legal action against them. They actually have these devices set up to fail and I'm almost sure of it and I'm going to continue to dig for proof. I've spent over $500 in lockout charges and that's not including the monthly bill. Today I had an appointment and the man said my lip gloss is what is throwing off the machine. Wow! Then I made my payment and not even 2 hours after I have left Monitech I get in my car and it tells me to call service provider I failed a test due to alcohol. Of course no one has answered the phone and they never want to admit that their equipment is faulty. Now it's hard enough trying to get through life as is but to have this company out here taking advantage of people should be against the law. I'm following the law and I'm doing what I'm supposed to do with this machine and they are making it very hard for people out. The excuses behind the fails is what leads me to further believe that this is a scam and the people know it. It's just going to take someone to speak up on the inside about it. You can't have messed up equipment and then make the customer pay for it or you can't even operate your vehicle. This is becoming past unacceptable. No one should be treated this way and have to go through this. BBB needs to run an investigation into this because God knows I have been compliant and there is no way that Monotech should be cashing out on me like this. Got a Monitech device installed less than a week ago. I have driven my car with the device installed 4 times, and each time only drove about one mile. Passed all the start and arrival tests, and on the 4th time in less than one week following installation, the device is telling me ; "service is required. Take the device to a service center within 7 days".I called the ***** service number. Waited on hold the first time for 47 minutes, then chose to leave a call back number. After 2 hours, still no call back.I am currently waiting again on the phone....its been 24 min. I am glad I am not sitting on the road somewhere.This is unacceptable:(
