They are a good company. They did what they said they would do. Came out and installed a generator. It took about a week and they never left me wondering if they were coming back. They called every morning to let me know they were coming and showed up around 8.30. They stayed with the job until it was done. A lot of it comes down to the workers and how competent they are. The guys they sent were good. I really can't complain about anything, as far as the work goes. They installed it and it works. I'm told they might cost a bit more but like everything, you get what you pay for. I'm satisfied.Review from William R

Gillece Services is the worst company we have ever dealt with. They are not to be trusted and we highly recommend seeking an alternative. They are dishonest, price ***** and the owner has no ethics. In 2019 we purchased a water heater that was substantially overpriced and was much larger than what we needed. Multiple technicians and plumbers from other companies have since told us that we were "robbed". It recently leaked and they wouldn't honor the warranty in place without us incurring $1,700 of costs to install a new 3/4 PRV value and a new 4.8 Gallon Thermal Expansion Tank. These were excuses for not honoring a warranty in place until late 2025. We got a second opinion and replaced the ENTIRE water heater with an expansion tank for less than the $1,700. The service tech from Gillece said he was just the messenger from the owner. The Good Lord is going to make that owner accountable someday for his actions. In the meantime, don't enrich him any further.Review from Brenda B

Ten days without hot water. Gillece installed the tankless gas water heater 3 years prior. After they fixed the venting that was installed wrong, it took Gillece a week talking to the manufacturer Noritz to order 3 parts under warranty. With the Gillece technician on the way, Gillece called and wanted $823.15 to install the parts. I asked her what if the parts don't fix the problem and was told that they would because the technician was working with ****** to resolve the problem. So I paid. It took 20 minutes to install the parts and they did NOT fix the problem. Finally, it was determined that the issue was the gas pressure into the water heater. Did Gillece offer even a partial refund? NO. So I paid $823.15 for labor to install parts that did not need replaced. Also, the technician took the packing slip, so I can't even tell the next plumber which parts were replaced.Review from DOUG M

GILLECE SERVICES responded to a gas leak 5/2/24,- completed replacement of 35 feet of gas line w/i 24 hours- for $9,334.71 ($266 per foot) A week later I found out it would be covered by insurance-adjuster went out to inspect & called questioning the cost-he then sent an independent contractor to provide an estimate for the same work- The quote was $1,800 to $2,400 ($51/$69 per foot) Additional online sources suggest the cost should not have exceeded $75 per foot. The insurance company re imbursed me $2,500 for "fair market" value loss. GILLECE has NOT responded to e-mails or phone calls. It would appear this is price gouging & taking advantage of a senior citizen.Review from R.A. J

Awful, awful company. Awful customer service, awful ethics, awful people. Stay away!!!! Been dealing with major financial headaches from this company for 5 years, with no resolution. We continue to be ignored and put off. All issues stem from their horrible techs who installed the wrong unit on our home and then refused to repair or replace. We have had 38 issues opened up with their customer service and now are being told we got "had" by their tech who knew he was selling us a bad unit, and just wanted his commission! Their solution, spend $20K to make it right. UNBELIEVABLE. Run away from this company as fast as you can.Review from DENNIS F

I want to say that the Gillece service technician, ************, was very efficient and knowledgeable. He snaked out my sewer drain within minutes and took the time to explain the reason for the clogged drain, and how to prevent the problem from happening again.Review from Mike Y

This company tried to charge me $520 to snake a bathroom clean out today. This company provided same service to me in 2013 for $97. They advertise this clog crusher service everywhere, however, it is only good on main line. Very deceptive!!!!!Review from James M

Do not trust this company, will lie to get you to finance for something you do not need done. All that was needed was to snake the drain to unclogged it, Called another plumbing company to take care of it. It was fixed within 30 minsReview from JR R

When searching & researching a contractor, if a company isn't BBB accredited, THAT should be your FIRST red flag -- When you go online & see nothing but negative reviews & bad experiences on top of bad reviews & negative experiences, then that is all you need to know. There are scores of horror stories about Gillece all over social media, & the PA AG is going after them as you read this -- How they are still in business is beyond comprehension! Locally, their reputation precedes them, so everyone is already well aware that they are a must to avoid -- .You have been warned!!! We gave them one star because you HAVE to choose at least a one star rating, but they should actually receive minus stars....
