Nightmare experience all around. Their painter didn't cover exterior windows before painting with a sprayer, then thoroughly scratched 24 panes of 100+ yr old wavy glass removing his paint overspray. Windows are totally ruined from the scratches and will require a costly replacement. Contract called for reglazing those windows and we were told that since it was a time-consuming task we had been quoted a higher cost. However, the painter just used caulking over top of the glazing, and then painted over it all. I think a 10 yr could have done a better job. The painters did not adequately or properly scrape loose paint, or do the prep work required on the wood siding prior to painting. They painted vertically in the middle of horizontal boards. Left large drips and runs. Skipped areas. Painted over debris. Their work was sloppy and they left a mess all around the house. The list goes on and on. The company owner refused my request to come see what I was unhappy about and insisted I pay him in full. He said it is "just an old farmhouse." (This "old farmhouse" won a preservation award a few yrs ago....) Never once did he apologize for the damage or inconvenience. We withheld final payment and requested the company send a different painter who tried his hardest and spent nearly 3 weeks to make good on the damage done. There were still issues with the paint coverage and a ******************************* rep looked at the house, then notified the company owner about the areas that still needed addressed. This nightmare went on for a couple of months. We do not recommend this company.
