I had a dental cleaning on September 14, 2023, and received a check from ********** Blue Shield on October 2, 2023, for the amount of $174.60 which I have since VO**ED. Confused I called BCBS at 4:45pm on October 2nd they explained to me that South Mountain Family Dental was considered out of network because their TAX** is not valid and that I would need to pay the remainder out of pocket. They are in fact in-network because I found them on BCBS webpage. I called the dentist at 4:51pm and spoke with ******* who let me know this has been an ongoing issue. That they have been TRYING to update this. She said she would try to take care of it. I called BCBS with the new TAX** and they let me know where she needs to call so I then called ******* back and let her know the email and phone of where she needs to update the ** at that was provided to me by a BCBS agent. I called NUMEROUS times after that getting updates and the last, I was told is she told me she is too busy and that she passed the "project" onto someone else to take care and she would find out where it was in the process. I haven't heard anything. I called BCBS December 7, 2023, and spoke with ***** who has been trying to follow up with ******* with no success after initially speaking with her on Dec 7, 2023. As of today, December 13, 2023, she took it upon herself to contact the department that needs to help the dental clinic update their information and she let me know she would follow up with me when she gets an answer. I am trying to do my due diligence in getting this company paid and wonder how many other FEP BCBS patients this is affecting. It is beyond frustrating and though the personnel at the clinic were SUPER nice I will never ever return all because of this incident that has put a bad taste in my mouth.
