Buyer beware!!! Product is easily damaged, dangerous, expensive and the customer service is atrocious

Our nearly 100 year old house has all single-paned original windows, which are beautiful, but very, very drafty. We didn't want to replace them or cover them with exterior storm windows, which would change the character of our house. We learned about Indows interior storm inserts and ordered 22 of the standard grade and 3 of the ** grade. Measuring went well with their laser kit and ordering was easy and streamlined. We worked with one customer representative, ******* throughout the entire process, and she quickly responded to any of our questions either by email, online video chats, or phone calls, something we hugely appreciated. The inserts are awesome- they fit perfectly, installed easily, and are almost invisible. And once they were in place, we noticed significant muting of outside sounds, including traffic, barking dogs, and high winds. We live near a railroad crossing and can now barely hear the trains. We actually bought them for weather proofing, and since installation we've had sub-freezing weather. Even when it was 16 degrees F outside, we were perfectly comfortable- didn't have to raise the thermostat or put on another three layers.We're delighted we went with Indows, and we can recommend them highly. Our home is now snug, cozy, and really quiet. Fantastic product, great service, excellent company.

I ordered a window insert from Indow Window to test out the sound proofing (I live near the highway). Thank god I only ordered one insert for the smaller window that is right next to my head when I sleep. $350 dollars and 18 weeks later it finally shows up, it fits fine but does absolutely NOTHING to dampen the sound. They will try to tell you because there are two windows in the room you won't be able to tell without inserts for both....that's not true. My windows are very far apart, and you can tell if sound is dampened as your inserting the insert......DO not waste your money if you think these will work for sound. They do follow up with another call trying to sell you more.*******

Noise can be a tricky thing and problem solving can take stages. Sometimes clients want to try out a first round of windows and purchase more if the problem is not solved, and we understand this is the path you preferred. As discussed, not treating one of the window openings in a room is unlikely to completely resolve the noise issue - it is like trying to stop a leaking bathtub but not covering up one of the holes.
