On 2-19-22, my husband and I purchased a vehicle for $11,995 from Alsbou Motors. I tried to talk them down on the price because it was listed a little above the ***** Blue Book value, but they refused to budge claiming it was a "high end model" of the truck and its previous owner took really good care of it, and instead agreed to offer a little more on our trade in. My husband also agreed to buy a warranty policy. The first problem we noticed was one of the back seatbelts didn't work. We replaced it ourselves for about $20. Within 2 weeks of purchase, the truck died. Many issues were found that needed repair, resulting in about $2,600 worth of repair, most of which would not be covered by the warranty (which hadn't been processed by the dealership yet!). Shortly after, the brakes seized up. ******************* informed us some of the tires were at zero traction! It also needed new rotors, calipers, and other repairs costing over $3.200 more! We decided to cancel the warranty and get a full refund since it was doing us no good. We went physically to the dealership to fill out the cancelation form. I called the warranty company about a week later to check on the status and they never received the paperwork. I spoke to someone at the dealership and she never received the form we filled out. I scanned and sent her a new form and checked in a couple days later to see if she received it and processed it, but there was no response. She had informed me that it could ***********-8 weeks to process, so I waited. I called the warranty company today (June 10) and found out it was never sent! It has been 3 months! What we would REALLY like is payment for our losses. I can't believe anyone would sell a family with young children a vehicle with unsafe tires and a seatbelt, as well as all the other issues it has had. Someone could've been seriously injured or killed! And to tell us it was "well taken care of" was an out and out lie. The vehicle has now been half totaled by repairs.
