I was convinced to trade in a **** Escape that was leased. It had severl months left on the lease (**** Motor Credit lease). Damerow must have loaded the amount owed on the lease to the purchase contract of the 2019 **** Eedge ST I bought. The payment for the Edge was $880 per month. After about a year I decided that was just too mucfh to pay for a **** per month, I took The 2019 Edge in and said what are my options. They suggested I buy another used 2019 **** Edge ST. I did and the payment wnet down to $660 per month. Well now times are tough and I decided to do someothing to lower my costs. (By the way the tires on my 2019 **** Edge were worn to the redline at ****** miles (bought it with ****** miles). I asked what happened as the tire must have been switched on the trade in or ???. My problem now is that I still owe $36,500 on the 2019 **** Edge and it is ony worth $19,500. Iam 2 payments behind and the lender wants to tke the car back. My problem is they take the car back and sell it for $19,000 and I am stuck with a $17,000 loan and no car. How did Damerow ever get a lender to loan me $44,000 on a used car that was 3 years old, bad tires and ****** miles. I have not options as Damerow loaded up this loan from the begining and I am STUCK.Review from Catherine K

This is the most unethical dealer we have ever dealt with. In the past 2.5 years we have purchased 9 **** trucks, 2 Isuzus, a Ram, and a Jeep (all brand new) and never had such a poor experience with a dealer. We talked to the sales man who took our credit card for a deposit to hold a Transit Van at an agreed upon price. We made an appointment for the following morning. We received a call 30 minutes before our appointment (we were already on our way) saying that they may have sold the van out from under us and sure enough when we got there at our appointment time the transit van was sold. ************************* is terribly unethical. We had a verbal contractual agreement and it was broken. We would NEVER do business with Damerow ****.Damerow Ford Company Response

Damerow **** failed to take care of my registration properly when I traded in my car and bought a vehicle from them. I paid over $3,000 in the fees for everything and I am unable to drive my vehicle because i have no license plates. They were supposed to give me the plates off my car and put them in the vehicle I purchased and they failed to do that . I was under the impression ( because of all the fees I paid them) that I was getting everything in the mail. They gave me a temporary trip permit, which is now expired, so I can't even drive my vehicle .I went to my local dmv about this,, they said I have to get another temporary trip permit from the dealership,, and I need to have my plates,, along with the registration and tags, or else I will have to dish out another $2,000 (minimum), to get my car registeredin this state.Damerow **** says they lost the plates and don'tknow where they are, I just think they.are not only being lazy, but don't actually care about their customers. They told the ****** DMV that they gave me my plates, when they in fact, did not. This is what DMV told me. I'm very upset, now I can't drive anywhere. They've been giving me the runaround for weeks.Review from Candice D

BEWARE! Sold us a lemon in October 2021 by December 2021 it was in the shop with the engine light. We had bought a so called certified **** used explorer also purchased the additional extended bumper to bumper warranty for additional $4k. March 2022 only owned the car for 5 months and had driven 6k miles and have been told by the **** mechanic engine is shot and needs replaced. Has sat at the **** mechanic for NINE weeks while they have fought wether **** or the extended warranty people will pay for the replacement. We have placed tons of phone calls to Damarow and we are promised a call back and never get one. They have extremely poor customer service and do not care once you pull off the lot. We have been forced to hire a lawyer and report them to the better ****************Damerow Ford Company Response

This is an unfortunate situation to say the least. Damerow has escalated this matter with ********** Company and ***************** the two parties that are disputing who is financially responsible. The vehicle is currently in another state at another dealership, so Damerow **** is unable to perform the repair or force the other dealership to do so and get the vehicle back in the owners hands. We understand the frustration caused by this set of circumstances, and will now move aside so that the legal process can take place between the affect parties listed above.Review from Suzanne Haines

I took my 2017 **** Focus to the service department on July 24, 2021 due to a strange noise coming from the motor. I was advised the motor needed to be replaced. I had a bumper to bumper warranty. But was advised the warranty only covered $1800 of the $6000 cost. 3 months later my car was still not done. Only when I reached out to the **** Company did my car get repaired. My car is still there as I don't have the financial means to pay the cost. The communication with the service department has been terrible. So frustrated with this dealershipDamerow Ford Company Response

The vehicle was not under factory warranty, and the extended service contract did not cover all of the needed repairs. We successfully got an exception from ********** Company to assist in the repair cost, leaving **************** with a balance of only $1680 vs. the total of $8935.33. Vehicle parts are often delayed beyond the control of the dealership due to the supply chain issues, there was nothing else we could have done to speed up the parts process. We apologize for the perceived lack of communication, it is definitely frustrating to have something like this happen.Review from Erik W

My experience with Damerow Ford in Beaverton, Oregon. This is the worst car dealership experience I have ever had. Let me state here at the beginning, the kid who helped us at the beginning was great and so was his sales manager Dan, even though they promised things that they could not fulfill without reworking the paperwork THREE times. For about 29 days (about 4 weeks) we dealt with this dealership trying to close the deal. We traded in our 2016 Ford Mustang and put a $1,000 down on a 2017 Ford Explorer to prepare for our first child due in October. My wife and I both work full time and usually only have Sundays off and between her working and Doctors' appointments for the baby and my medical appointments at the VA we do not have much time to really give up for other things. For a month we had to keep moving things around and canceling appointments and taking off time off work to meet with people from Damerow to complete all the forms they had messed up or forgotten. All while being treated just miserably and constantly disrespected by their sales manager, Max. It got to the point where they had messed up a final time and we just decided to take the car back and get my trade-in and down payment back because we no longer wanted to conduct business with these folks. Two days before going in to return everything I wrote an email to the GM, Ryan and explained everything that had happened from start to finish. To get no response back... even after calling him about four times. The day prior to returning the vehicle I sent a group email to the GM Ryan, GSM Brian, and the SM Max. Clearly stating that we would be there the next day to bring back the vehicle and to have my trade pulled up and down payment check in hand and that I no longer want to be contacted by phone and only through that email thread for legal purposes and my consultant was CC'd on it. I continued to get calls from different people at the dealership trying to get me to come sign this new form and bring in this information so we can finish. When I explained that I did not wish to be called they acted like they had no idea and said nobody had told them that. Max was the only person to respond to the email saying, "Well it's not that easy to just bring it all back and I'll see you guys tomorrow". My wife, Consultant and I arrive at the dealership the next evening. It had turned out that Damerow Ford had sold MY 2016 ford mustang before the deal was even complete which is highly illegal in the State of Oregon. They stole and sold my car. The conversation got heated fast, with Max even insulting my Military service multiple times. He talked very disrespectfully to my wife and consultant the entire time. It got to the point where I rose my voice and had to walk away to cool down with how he was talking. We asked for the GM Ryan or the GSM Brian to come outside multiple times to address this issue with how Max was talking to us. They never came out and was told that they do not waste their time with things like this. They ended up saying they would write me a check for $20,000 for my down payment and the value of the trade in. Then came out and said they would only give me the difference between what was still owed on the Mustang and the value of the trade which was $7,000 plus my $1,000 down payment. The fact they paid off and sold my car before a deal was complete (which is illegal and considered stealing in Oregon) is not our problem. I told Max I wanted not only the remaining $12,000 but also the profits on my car that they stole and sold, and he refused saying that it is not our business what they made (even though it was not their car). After finally having enough and the GM Ryan and GSM Brian refusing to come out and talk to us about the issue, we took the $8,000 and left. They also left me without a car, and I had to rush out and find a car in the next two days so I could get to work on Monday. They have not made us whole from this deal. They still owe us $12,000 from my car they stole and paid off. They owe us for the complete value of the trade and my down payment which equals $20,000, which they have already given us eight. We are also sending this to the Ford Motor Company in hope something will be done about this and no one else has this happen to them at Damerow Ford. We would never recommend this dealership to anyone. Also keep in mind this entire time they did not give us copies of any paperwork from day one that we signed and when we asked for them, they could only find one and that they would email the rest... still waiting on that email as of today. This dealership has done us grievously wrong, and we want people to be aware of what they did.
