I contracted with Master Movers to clear out my storage unit. The whole process from quote to move was flawless. ****** and ****** were friendly and expert movers. I am very pleased with my move and would recommend them.

They stole our jewelry! I hired Master Movers Moving and Storage of ********, ** to relocate our household in September of 2021. During the move, company employees stole $4,000 of jewelry out of a sealed box and retaped it. We filed a claim with the company. We filed a police report. The police found evidence of the theft and a warrant was issued. We have pleaded with Master Movers for the last 8 months and they have refused to help us recover our items or compensate us for anything. In addition, the move was horrible. They arrived 2 hours late. The truck broke down during transit. They delivered our goods 5 hours late. **************** has been negligible. I have never been abused by a company like this. This has been a nightmare and we will never use this company again.

I had Master Movers move me twice! The first time they moved me from ******** ** to ********* **. It was super stressful as my ex-husband had his boxes on one side and mine were on the other. Yellow Sticky Notes were placed on each piece of furniture naming what was his and what was mine . . . those poor guys had to navigate thru all the land mines of a marriage ending and each person moving to a different location - and of course, it was raining too! They handled it beautifully. Everything arrived in one piece and was placed in the rooms I had requested making it easy for me to get everything unpacked and put away.The second move was a long distance move - from ********* ** to ********* *******! During this move I had Master Movers pack my dishes, clothes, and belongings. It was wonderful to not have to spend all the time finding boxes and getting everything packed so it was safe & secure. It's already exhausting planning a move. It was SO GREAT having them do all the work!!! They kept my things in storage for a while until I was able to find a place to buy in ******* and everything arrived perfectly, intact, and on time. The guys were always punctual, everyone was friendly, but also very business-like and efficient. The price was super competitive (I got bids for each move). I'm VERY happy with both of my moving experiences!

The workers opened boxes that I packed and taped close. They stole valuables and retaped the boxes. When I contacted the management about it I was given the excuse, the boxes were opened and re-taped for staging. This makes no sense. I have asked to be reimbursed for my loss and told they are denying my claim. They allow their employees to steal and get away with it. One employee returned a pair of shoes they stole, and said I gave them to him. They were two men that moved me, why would I give one something and not the other. I have kept all correspondence between management and myself and would like to share it with the BBB.

I hired three men, by the hour to move my 1,700 sq ft fully packed 3 bedroom home approximately 30 minutes away. I did not expect to only be partially moved almost 9 hours later. Here are some of the complaints about the move that I tried to address with the owner/manager and he has yet to reply. The main guy showed up smelling of alcohol the morning of the move. It was 9:32am. Another guy smoked a cigarette inside the back of the moving van with most of my possessions in the back of the van. Breaks taken throughout the day were very excessive – at most there was one person working at one time never all three which would seem to be the most effective way to move the furniture and boxes out of the home. Upon arrival to the new home which had new flooring I asked if they would remove or wear booties provided by myself when entering the second level of the home. I made this request on multiple occasions because they were not at all respectful of the request. After I became very adamant that they be more respectful of my wishes, one of the men started taking shoes on and off after every small box up and down commenting it doesn’t matter to him he gets paid by the hour. The last straw was when one guy wore the booties outside and then in. I asked why don’t you move the boxes to the main floor first, then move anything upstairs after unloaded from the van? I was told that they have their own process. Waste time and get more money? After almost 9 hours and things were still not unloaded and my things were being tossed carelessly around I became so frustrated I told them to just unload everything into my garage and leave. I had to hire someone else to come and move boxes and furniture to the right rooms. I signed a paper and paid them just so they would leave. I was not at all happy with the service or in agreement that they actually worked all those hours they were charging me for. They also had me initial that everything moved was in good condition. When they left I found several furniture, plastic bins and items labeled fragile broken and with broken item in them. I called to discuss this with the manager/owner who told me he would get back to me and that there is two sides to every story. I still haven’t heard a word. I do not recommend this company and I do not appreciate the level of customer care provided.
