      This was the absolute WORST experience. I've stayed in some dive hotels before and still be pretty satisfied with the experience, This one was appalling.It took them quite a long time to check us in, then despite when having made the reservations, I was told it was $50 per night deposit, it was actually a $100 per night deposit, per room. In addition, each room could support up to four occupants and I was being charged an additional $30 per room to have more than one occupant. We had two people per room. ON top of that, one of the rooms we were assigned had a lock that did not work. It locked, but it was unable to be unlocked by a room key. We were instructed by management to come to the window and request to be granted access to our room any time we needed to go in and out. Room Number one: This is the one with the non operational door lock- The deadbolt didn't work either. The curtains didn't close all the way, and the "black out" portion if it was more joke than black out. Next, there was still a price on one of the head boards written in grease pencil, the television didn't work and when we approached management we were told "the ** might or might not work" and that the remote was probably missing. Room Number 2: There was a bug flying around the room when I opened the door. The carpet was disgusting and had debris on it. The furniture looked horrible. The drawers were missing their fronts, the night stand didn't have a lamp, and was so stained with an unknown substance, I was afraid to touch it. There was nothing secure and no place to properly store or charge electronics. The bedding had cigarette ***** in both coverlets, an something sticky on them. I did ask them to change the bedding on one, because I hand't gotten a good look at the other one, but when I went back upstairs, The bathroom had stains all over it, there was a hole in the counter above the toilet tank, I didn't stay long enough to see if the a/c even worked.

      I have a complaint re the Holiday Lodge in Salem, OR. This was a last minute call for a hotel on 4/1/2022 so my options were very limited. Of all the less desirable options I chose the Holiday Lodge in part as they said they were part of the **************************************** In a nutshell this was the worst hotel experience I've ever had ... The room cost $150 (and a $50 deposit) but was worthless. The card to the door wasn't operating due to computer malfunction - request for another room was ignored saying someone would be available to let us in.When we got back around 10:30pm. Trying to find someone at the front desk to open the door was very problematic. When he let us in, the ** did not work nor did the desk lamp. The outside windows did not lock. The guy on staff said he'd look for another room but was then MIA.He found us another room w working ** but no light, gave us the key but left - this key did not work either and we had to track him down to get in the room. Did not get in the room until 11:15pm.The hotel is filthy and there is no WiFi despite saying it's available - when I inquired the front desk staff grunted.

      Disgusting, dirty, staff disrespectful, no tv, holes in walls, blood spatters, vandalism everywhere. Stinks. No mirror. Everything dirty. Some rooms have the beds on the ground. Hairs in bed. Plumbing doesn’t work. Heater and cooling system barely works. Broken tiles in bathroom. Duct tape on ground over cracks. GRIMEY AF
