      Wolcott Services was called to fix a water leak. Evidently it required the replacement of a broken hose bib. Although the service was performed after hours it is my belief that the customer was gouged. The bill was near a thousand dollars for about an hour's work at the job site. The customer was actually billed $885.00. I think they gave him a discount of $100.00. I am acting on behalf of the customer. In this case the customer is disabled. I have had years of experience doing plumbing work and I think this **** is much too high for the work done. There is no way I can see a bill that high as being justifiable.

      I rarely write a review, but in this case, Buyer beware, better yet, don't use. We asked for an ********************* water heater (which the estimater/installer said they could do). Same guy showed up the next morning with a different brand and said "Oh, my bad, I guess I should have called." He would have installed it if I had not caught him. So he left for an hour and went and got the correct brand. We also understood the water heater's vent was going to be replaced, as part of our estimate and the fee we paid. The same tech did not specifically add the vent to the 7 page computer document he had me sign digitally, then they told us they would follow up within 10 to 14 days about the vent "because it was the busy season for hvac section." After about 25 days, I emailed them twice. NO RESPONSE. I phoned them a few days later, and was told the tech did not make a note for any follow up. They kindly sent someone out within a day and completed the job, but I signed nothing at that time. I understood we already paid for the work! Three weeks after the vent was installed, I got an email invoice for the vent installation!!!! There is a digital **** where my signature would go, agreeing to pay the bill. I DID NOT SIGN anything when the hvac gent showed up. I tried to explain to the office people, who did reduce the bill, but said the bill was valid. I gave up and paid the bill. Don't use this company!!

      ************************** came out to fix our heat pump from the original install 2 weeks prior.He was amazing!! fixed the problem and communicated to us what the problem was and how he fixed it. *********** knows his stuff! Our home is pumping the cold air like never before. Thank you to ************************** for coming out right away and fixing this and to the office lady (cant remember her name) that scheduled him out right away.

      Wolcott apparently requires credit card info over the phone when making an appt , even weeks out. Stated was uncomfortable giving out that info when paying cash and further think its inappropriate to be asking for that when service has not been performed . I met with tech when he was on a call with neighbor and we had the same problem. He looked at mine, gave me card and tried for two days to get a human on the phone . Then to find out my personal credit card info over phone was required to confirm an appt..I find it unacceptable with all the hacking / stolen info these days and never have been asked ahead of time . I researched on the internet this issue and found its not legal in some areas and also unethical and that its advised to not give out this type of info over phone or before services like a plumber are performed

      Wolcott did not address the issue at hand , requiring credit card information in advance over the phone to strangers to keep on hand with the possibilities of security breaches by others and this practice does not seem to be common place in the business world of today so they instead came up with a generic answer. Speaks volumes

      Very disappointing experience. Called for installing vent pipe estimate for my small rental property. Tech came out and said he was a service tech but he could still do the job. He cut the 6" hole on the ceiling, went up the attic and said it was pretty simple job and gave me an estimate of $850. I thought it was too expensive so I informed the tech that I have to think about it. I got charged for HVAC dispatch & diagnostic charge of $97 and first hour labor charge totaling $280.76 for an estimate. I will never do a business with Wolcott period.

      I am fine with paying the ********************* charge of $97 but I strongly feel that I should not have been charge for the 1st hour labor charge of $162 on top of ********************* charge for an estimate. It is ridiculous to get charged $259 for an estimate. Please do the right thing.

      The experience I had with **** from Wolcott was great. **** explained about the different affected parts of the furnace that prevented the heat from coming out such as the two filters: the one that screws into the fuel line and the one that cleans the air: he showed me the loose wires which needed to be tightened related to the function of the fan, he showed me the box that opens and shows another function other than the reset button. He also explained that pushing the reset button too many times could result in sputtering of the furnace and emitting smoke.He was patient and very informative giving me ideas of what I could or could not do on my own to maintain simple things not requiring a service call.I was very pleased with the service call.

      I called Wolcott to get two faucet stems replaced. The day the technician was scheduled to come out I received a call that he had a family emergency. They sent someone else out later that week (11/26/21). I was given a time frame of 1 - 3 pm. He showed up late. i had given them all the information about what type of faucets they were, but when he got there he said he didn't have the parts and the parts houses were closed so he wouldn't charge me for the trip. He made it a point to say that Wolcott was a ***************** and he was a ********** He also bad mouthed another company we had used to clear clogs and told us that Wolcott only charges $99 for that service. He did not give me an estimate for the job when he left. The next week he told me he was having problems finding the parts. I called a parts house and found the parts. When I told him I had found the parts and where he said he found them and that they didn't use parts houses but got their stuff from *********** ********** wasn't closed when he came out the first time. He came back less than a week later and installed the stems. I also had a slow drain f ixed. He was there less than an hour and only 20 minutes was to replace both stems. Had I known how much he was going to charge I wouldn't have had the stems replaced and would have figured it out myself. But as he had told me what they charged to clear drains I figured he would be reasonable. And then before he left he asked us me if I was mad at him.I called the office the next week to talk about the cost and that I didn't receive an estimate before hand and no one returned my call. After giving them a negative review I received an email from the owner asking me to call. They also indicated that they couldn't return my call for several weeks because they were busy and wanted another chance to clear this up. I called the number they gave me and left a message and a week later I still haven't heard from them.

      We so appreciate your technician, ******. He was professional, polite, and very diligent during his two visits to diagnose and correct erratic readings from the exterior hardwired temperature sensor for our heat pump compressor. During his first visit, he recommended installing a bluetooth enabled temperature sensor to provide more reliable and accurate outside temperature readings. While examining our mechanical room systems, he found that our ultraviolet air purification unit was not installed where it should be for optimum performance. He asked the main office to schedule a follow up visit to take care of both of these items. In the meantime, he gave us recommendations for operating the heating systems during the cold weather we were expecting.In his second trip, ****** completed the above tasks in short order with great results. However, our weather at **** feet elevation turned from marginal (when he arrived) to treacherous during the course of his service work. Our community road became extremely slick with snow and freezing rain and the hilly inclines were not passable without chains or aggressive traction devices. ****** installed chains on his vehicle and attempted to depart. But his right rear chain broke and he was forced to call for tow assistance. In the meantime, we had a very nice visit with him while we all warmed up. After realizing that the weather was not going to improve ... but actually deteriorate further ... and the tow truck wasn't coming for a very long time (if at all), we consulted with ****** on a plan B. My wife and I invited ****** to ride with us in our 4wd studded snow tire **** F250 as we drove the slick road back out to the plowed county road. It was challenging, but we made it. ****** had to leave his service truck in our driveway for pickup on another day when road conditions improved. The vehicle would be out of ***** way and unscathed. We dropped off ****** in a safe location in a nearby town where he would be picked up by a relative or Wolcott team member. Throughout his difficult and challenging day, ****** completed our service work and demonstrated poise, patience, perserverance, and a great attitude. He kept his composure in this difficult circumstance, thought out solutions, and made every attempt to succeed with the resources at his disposal. We appreciated his attitude and character throughout and wish to pass along our "kudos" for a job well done!

No matter what, we always have each other's backs. Thank you so much for making sure that our guy got home safely and for taking the time to share this heartwarming story. We know that ******** gratitude and respect for you guys are at least equal to yours for him, and he'd be happy to come out any time you need HVAC help in the future.       We had/have a very hard to diagnose issue with our heat pump going into a wait state, sometimes for hours or more. **** came and checked the whole system out and made sure all the components were working as designed, and arrived at replacing the control unit, which at this point, seems to work fine...will see if the old problems arise. Was very polite, professional, and efficient. Pleasure to work with him.
