We signed up pre-pandemic and were only able to use our membership twice. I have had to be out of state with my daughter for cancer treatment and they said I would have to cancel in person. I have called multiple times and no one is able to help. I have been sent a letter from their attorneys asking me to pay, although I never received an email or any other contact asking for payment.Physiq Fitness Response

My name is ***** and I am the operations Manager for Physiq Fitness. So sorry to hear you got the run around about canceling. I see ***** had you on a freeze and after that was over the membership activated. Maybe the confusion was you wanted to cancel and not freeze. I have the past due written off and the membership cancelled. We are sorry to hear about your families medical situation. I hope this takes a little stress away. I have also emailed collections to make sure the account is closed out as well.

I wish I could give it no stars. I have been a member for years and decided to quit this morning due to bad customer service and staff. Even though I cancelled Im still getting charge and annual fee which is ridiculous. So glad I signed up with a different gym because at least there, people are actually nice to you and greet you when they walk in the door and not extremely rude. At Physiq, they care more about having conversations with their other coworkers instead of cleaning up the gym and making sure the wipes are filled so you can wipe down the machines.Review from Aubrey S

My fiance and I joined in December 2022 with a special where the joining fee was waived, although the next month we had to pay the $50 and some annual fee. We joined at the ** Salem Physiq with the membership that is allowed to be used at different locations which is more expensive for this reason of wanting to use it at Lancaster location. We were told that in January the Lancaster location would be open, just a few weeks because the December opening got pushed back and we could switch our membership and use it at the Lancaster location. It is now March, the Lancaster location is still not open and when I talked to the manager at ** Salem they said they could not cancel/refund the past few months membership that hasn't been used. I can go only during certain times of the day and Lancaster is closest. I don't have time to drive to ** Salem one, workout and get back in the time I have. So now I am in the hole about $140 and have only been able to use my membership 2 times. We were told something that was not true and they were unwilling to fix that. HI ****** I can help you. I am sorry that the construction delays have caused you so much frustration. The ************** is open on Monday April 3rd. This date is firm and we have now taken delivery of all our equipment for that location as of this last Friday. If you are still interested in being a member I can take what has been paid in dues and apply it as a credit so you get full value for what you paid when ********* opens. Let me know what your thoughts are. Sorry again for all the delays. I too have been frustrated with them.Review from A. M.

In march 2021 my husband and I joined physiq fitness due to our wedding being in July. I decided to go ahead with a personal trainer to get some better results and learn how to correctly use the gym equipment. My training appointments were at 5 am on Monday which eventually did not work out for me. I did contact my trainer to let him know that this time was no going to work out any longer and asked if there was a different time available as I was free until about 7:00am. He later reached out to let me know that he did not have anything else available with in that time frame. This was in June, I contacted the facility and let them know that I would like to stop my personal training sessions and I was told that I could not do anything over the phone and that I would have to go in to the gym personally and take care of it, so I did. When I came in I was told that I would have to have a GM help me because the manager on duty could not help me. However at the time they did not have a GM so they told me some one would reach out to me but he could put the personal training sessions on hold. No one got me. Then I called again in August because I was double charged on my card. Instead of returning the money back to my card they said they would apply it to the next months billing. Again at this time I addressed that I wanted to cancel my personal training as my husband and I experienced about ***** worth of fraud on our bank account and we could no longer afford personal training. At that time I was told again someone would get back to me and never did. Now it is February and they sent me an email stating they were going to send me to collections due to non payment for personal training. So I called on 2/16/22 and talked to ***** about it. He told me that he could not do anything and that he would pass it to member services. I still have not heard back. I am fed up with the lies, rude behavior from staff and charging me for service that was never rendered.Physiq Fitness Response

Hi ****** So sorry to hear about your family financial situation with that fraud. Our goal is to take away stress not add to it. After talking to the staff they said they had froze your personal training and when it went active again ****** talked to you and said to let him know when you would like to get started again. Did that conversation not take place? I want to make sure I understand what communication you did or did not get. NO! This is not the conversation that took place. If your manager ***** followed through what he said he was going to do, you would have seen the screen shots of the conversation ****** and I had via text. A person should not have to file a complaint with the BBB just to get a response back!!!Review from Jacob L

Fired me didnt tell me a reason as of why told me not to come on company grounds never gave me my commission. Proceeded to post my name in company group chats telling everyone I was fired and not to let me on company grounds then everyone at the company texting me asking me what happened without me having any clue. I called multiple times I also asked directly why and to meet with them they told me no. Bad management and owners. I hate to see my reputation and familys reputation slandered because they employe children with big mouths and dont know how to conduct business. All food standards are ignored as well ********** safety and explanation on services and terms. Gym safety with covid is ignored.Physiq Fitness Response
