Terrible company. All their support is automated responses from bots. No phone number to speak with someone either. A large percentage of users are selling physical music media which is damaged or in bad shape through Discogs with no repercussions from the company. The company does nothing to help resolve issues with scammers and dishonest sellers who rip you off. The company also has a review system which is not at all accurate. Any seller who receives a negative feedback from a buyer can have it removed by having an employee review it. The criteria for feedback removal doesnt seem to matter because sellers can have the feedback removed regardless of whatever it says.Review from Jon B

Discogs is a safehaven for hackers, scammers, crooks, and thieves. Discogs invests NO money into customer support or preventing illegal activity. If there are problems you will NEVER hear back from them. You will get an auto reply that will refer you to Paypal and they will have washed their hands completely of any illegal activity. They are a record selling middleman that assumes NO risk but reaps all the benefits. The buyer assumes ALL the risk but has NO protections unless you have the patience to deal with filing paypal disputes which usually take a minimum of 30 days to resolve. Best bet is to completely avoid purchasing through Discogs. Discogs take 9% in fees but for what?! Best to buy outside of Discogs and save the fees, or go to **** where you will be protected and the sellers are vetted.Review from HERBERT J

These people allow the sellers to steal your money for a product you're buying and leave it up to the same seller to make things right.If they decides not to respond back to you,you're out of your money with no product and the fee for shipping is very expensive. I would never wish what happen to me on any honest buyers.I wanted the christian ***** so bad I over paid for the shipping never receiving anything.not even a refund.Review from Dave L

I attempted to open an account on Discogs.com on 5/4/21. Their dashboard claimed they sent an email to the email address I submitted as part of the registration process. Since I initially never received an activation code, using the link on their site, I requested an activation code be resent. Again the dashboard banner claiming an email was sent. Again no email or activation code. I submitted a request for help through their pull down menus. I received an email with a ticket number 3***** claiming the included link would provide a code (verifies the email I submitted in the account registration form was correctly entered/received). It looped me back to the page I used before; but I tried it again anyway. Again no email or code. Hours later I get an email titled "Your Discogs.com account has been banned" and stating within "Due to violations of our Terms of Service guidelines, management have determined that your account will be permanently banned from Discogs.com" and "This decision is final. The account and any linked accounts will remain permanently banned.". No statement was given of whjch TOS policy was violated. How can you violate a policy by trying to open an account and/or requesting help? Attempts to access the request activation code page now generates an "Authentication Error, You are not allowed to access this page." response. I don't even "have" an account since they never sent an authentication code. First time I've been banned on the internet for anything let alone trying to register an account in order to purchase goods!
