DISCRIMINATION at its finest! I inquired about a property and was told it was AVAILABLE and to pay the application fee for myself, my husband and my daughter (18). This is $55 each person. I made sure I met their requirements BEFORE I even applied. I make 6 times the rent, instead of the 4 they require. They said I would hear something in 4 to 5 days. I never did. I kept emailing every couple days without getting a reply. So I finally called back after a week and I spoke to Lucinda Tito. She then informs me that they do not do "first come first serve" applications like the other companies. They pick and choose the applicants THEY prefer. She told me they have had many more than expected applications come in for this property. (Must be nice racking up application fees) Does NOT even matter if you even meet all their standards. I should have been told this before I wasted my time. I have a small business. I make 6x the rent. I have great credit. I have great references. With that being said.. I feel highly discriminated against!! Why wasn't I chosen? Because I have kids? Or a dog? Or something else? All this company did was delay me 2 weeks finding a home. I spoke to two other companies after I was rejected from this company and they all review the applications first come first serve. With that being said I was approved for another home in ONE DAY with another company. I was also told from the company I am renting from now to call and ask to "Withdraw" my application so all my personal info does not stay on file and upon doing so the woman acted like she had no clue what I meant. She could not even tell me what happens to all my personal info. I feel VIOLATED to know someone can see every bit of my personal information..3 bank accounts with 3 months of statements, bank account numbers, social securities of all husband and children. I hope this company will get it together and not scam and discriminate against people like they have done to me.
