I called East Bay plumbing on Dec 29th to replace a water heater that I previously purchased to install in a moble home. They could not come out till Jan 1st after the holiday which was really no problem. I spoke to a gentleman who quoted me $700 to replace the water heater, a good price. They came out at the time frame they said and looked at the job. The floor was soft under the heater, and the old heater has its electric wiring located on the side, instead of on top like the new one. The plumber could not do the electric, and would need an electrician. The problem with the old heater was a pressure valve that I supplied. He suggested that it would be cheaaper to change the valve that I supplied. The job couldn't have taken more than a half hour to replace. I was charged $500 to replace the valve. The original quote was $700 to replace the whole heater. They charge for travel time. I live in Navarre, pretty expensive travel time. I paid the bill, but will never use this company again. Too many hidden fees. If you feel like you need to use this company, ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS!
