The private beach they advertise is actually a public beach. False advertising!

We stayed here back in 2018 and loved it. We decided to stay here again this year for a week from 14-21 sept. When we get our room for the first night I was happy felt relaxing. The next day is when the nightmare of a vacation started. Starting around 8-830 in the morning was construction above us and finally after 3 hours of constant jack hammering. I called and they switched us rooms from the west tower to the east tower. Got to the new room and my wife was gonna take a bath and she noticed we didn't have hot water. We were meeting friends at Mcguires for dinner and I told the front desk we didn't have hot water. They said they will fix it so don't worry. After an hour or 2 at Mcguires return to the room and still no hot water. Called the front desk and they told me that the boiler was out but maintenance is on it. So I boiled hot water in the 3 pans and the coffee maker so my wife and daughter could take a bath. The next day still no hot water. Called the front desk and they said maintenance is still working on the boiler should have it fixed soon. Again boiled hot water for my wife and daughter as I took a cold shower. Friday morning comes and you guessed it no hot water. So I called down and wanted to check out. They only refunded me the 4 days I didn't use. I drove from Tucson Az to Destin Fl wasted money and they only refunded me 4 days. I had no Hot water for 3 days literally boiled water so at least my wife and daughter could take a hot bath. Couldn't do dishes for the lack of hot water had to boil water for dishes too. This place is a joke not only will we never stay here again but my mom and dad stay there a few times a year and they will no longer stay here. Very over rated hotel. Best western down the street is better at least they have hot water. It doesn't take 3 days to fix or even replace a boiler. Very unsanitary especially with Covid.
