              Borden was scheduled to pick up my recycling on 3/15/2024. On 3/16/2024, I found the container laying on it's side, still well over halfway full, with some recycling scattered in the area. I called Borden to request they come pick up my recycling. The called back on 3/18/2024 with their response. They advised they have video of them picking up my recycling on 3/15/2024. That *** be, but they emptied little, if any, of the bin when they did so. The contents were not packed tightly either. As I stated, when it was on its side the next morning, items were falling out and being scattered by the wind. Borden advised they won't have another truck in the area and refuse to pick up my recycling until my next scheduled pick up date, which is two weeks from now on 3/29/2024. St. Joseph County residents are forced to pay their recycling fee on their property taxes, so there I can't refuse to pay, cancel service, or find a new provider.

              Borden Waste-Away did not pick up my recycling at the scheduled time. I had placed it at the required spot the night before, as I always do. It sat for three days, long past what city ordinances allow before they start issuing fines. When I contacted Borden, they sent me doctored photos and videos proving it wasnt there. When I pointed put how simple it is to doctor digital media, they threatened me with retaliation.

              We at Borden do our best to support our customers and look for solutions to any issues that *** arise. In this case, Borden strongly disagrees with the claims made by the customer. At no time did ******************** or any of our associates doctor a photo or video to submit to a customer as proof of ********************** or a ********************** exception. Borden also disagrees that any threats or retaliation were stated or suggested. Borden has compromised with the customer and will be removing the recycling a week sooner than scheduled. We will continue to do our best to service this and all of our customers.

              It would be one thing if the company would simply acknowledge that it missed some pickups. Its another thing entirely to blame the customers and accuse them of lying. They do this consistently. They seem very polite about it, so many people dont question them. Borden would do well to remember that many people now have security cameras. Its a very simple matter to check our footage against theirs.
