We stayed in Savannah with Tybee Vacation Rentals to celebrate my Father-In-Laws birthday over the weekend of the 4th of July. The home we rented was a beautifully renovated Victorian era home. It was advertised as having 2 off street parking spots which was a huge reason we picked that property since we would have multiple cars. When we arrived the road behind the parking spots had been completely torn out and closed, making parking completely inaccessible. When I asked TVR for help with this I was told to “Just park on the street”. I told them that this was not a permanent solution because 1) There was already limited parking due to others parking on the street, especially with construction workers across the street taking up many of the spots and 2) street parking would be closed all together for street sweepers one of the nights we were there. Following the conversation I was not given any alternatives and their customer service line has completely ignored my messages since.

The **************** closed the street down without our knowledge. Guests were given multiple parking options in the surrounding area.Review from Thomas C

I drove 300 miles before receiving a call telling me that the condo we had rented was not going to be available. This is the 3rd time we stayed at this condo and we love it. We come from Indiana and always drive halfway and stay overnight in Asheville and finish the trip the next day. the hotel reservations were non-cancel-able and a hundred dollars worth of gas wasted. offers of alternative locations were not even close to being acceptable. I realize that things happen but, when I returned home I found that there were other units at the same condo available with other agencies in Tybee. I realize that there is competition, but wouldn't a working relationship between companies for the welfare of the tourist trade be best for all. I made this same suggestion to the young lady I spoke to and asked her to pass it to the manager. We will see.Tybee Vacation Rentals Response

Unfortunately, the property rented was no longer available. Guest was given options of other properties that we manage and instead chose to cancel. Guest was given a 100% full refund so is absolutely able to rent with another company if they have a property available in same building. We did not require guest to only stay with us given the situation.Review from Michele B

I call this bait and switch! We were notified exactly one week before our vacation that our property was not going to be available. The choices they gave us were not even close to being acceptable to us. When I sent a copy of what we paid and what they gave us amount of money they owed us $1000 but said based on there computer calculations we only got $400 back. The description of the house was also falsely stated as having 3 full bathrooms which was not true. We should be reimbursed for the the total amount for the different of the rentals.Review from Amanda C

My mother died and we had to go to **** instead of this vacation we'd booked well these f*** heads wouldn't refund our money so we've contacted an attorney.Tybee Vacation Rentals Response

Due to circumstances of their cancellation, guests have been offered flexibility from cancellation policy so they can use their credit through end of year.
