I received a prepaid gift card as a gift and I've been having difficulty using it. I went online to try to register the card but kept getting prompted to call the number because there were issues with it. When I called the number, I kept getting UNHELPFUL and RUDE agents who were quick to hang up on me without answering anything. I asked for help registering my card because the website didn't work and they kept directing me back to the website (where I was getting the error). They said they could also transfer me to their automated phone department to register, but every time they tried to transfer me, it took me to a customer survey and then automatically hung up. I tried with over 5 different agents. When I asked one agent to check my gift card balance, she said "$0". I asked her how could I have 0 when I've never even used this gift card before? and she hung up on me. Overall, this company is a SCAM and it's clear from their customer service that they have no intention of ever giving customers their rightfully owed money. The customer service agents were actually the worst people I've ever dealt with.I'd give this place 0 stars if I could.Review from Drew B

Just like every othr review here - this is an incredibly difficult company to work with. The cards do not work. When you call to activate, they make you jump through hoops and send PII via fax, which is a bad idea. I ONCE had a helpful supervisor who was able to help get a stack of cards activated for me. She explained they have a ridiculous amount of fraud they deal with and these cards are all about to be wiped out and you'll have to submit to have a check sent to you. I would not purchase this card for my worst enemy. Trying to use them is frustrating and time consuming. Someone really needs to look into what this company is up to. I believe they are trying to get you to abandon your funds.Review from Erica P

Agree with every other review. I have had these cards for almost two years and cannot use them. I did get one registered and can see the balance. The second card I was given keeps getting an error on the website. The numbers don't work. And the phone number won't give me anyone. This is ridiculous.Review from Shanna P

Got this card from a promotion for a company and I went to activate it ...the card number and information didn't work. Tried online and tried to call... Kept getting is that the card information is either incorrect or not in thier system or out right doesn't exist. I'm so frustrated at this point. I have called (888)853-**** and got no where. It is a total scam. There is no way you can activate the card and I called the phone number on the back and was answered by a lady from *****. Such a scam. Received some letter in the mail with some US Bank letter head. With this company and address and 1-888-***-9536 phone number. So. I call it. Indian woman answers. Kept saying " let me check ". Hang on. Let me see. Can you give me your info. NO ! I gave you your phony Property ID Number. Lol. And last I checked. When you buy a gift card at ****** for someone. They don't know your name and address. You buy it and leave with it. Total scam. So she goes on to tell me to just " upload your government ID on this website prepaidgiftbalance.com along with a copy of the letter I received and someone will get back to us in 4 to 6 weeks. ****. More like someone will steal your identity in four to six days. Stay away from these crooks. Thieves and scammers. Just a new spin on a old India scam (Fraudulent BS.Review from Michelle L

It's a shame BBB doesn't factor these reviews into its business ratings, since this company touts its A+ rating on its website, even though it's clear it is committing fraud against the public.Our experience is exactly the same as many others:1. Prepaid ********** card received as a gift.2. Declined when tried to use it for a purchase.3. Confirm with store where purchased and activated, directed to this company.4. Inquire and told flagged as fraudulent without explanation or cause.It's surprising a subsidiary of US Bank conducts business this way. Scammers! Called 3 times and different reps who do not know what theyre doing and changes instructions every time. Very unprofessional. First one told me to go to website which does not work. Asks for PIN which is not available at back of card. & then Wants to get my personal info and asks for my ID and address etcetera. Why do they need my personal information to activate a **** gift card ?Thats $200 wasted. I will not take a chance faxing these scammers my IDReview from Julianne G

Cannot use gift card!Waste of time and very much a scam. **************** phone rep said to activate card online. Online said to call number on card.The lady I spoke with just kept saying sorry and send my person information via fax but was very limited on the information she would provide.Very shady!!Review from Anita R

They flagged my gift card for no reason. I was originally told it was flagged for fraud. I put my pictures of my drivers license (front and back) and my gift card also front and back, on 1 document. It was very clear, and then I sent the document via certified mail to their PO box in December. By March, I hadn't heard anything. I called and was told my fax was unreadable! What fax? I told her it was a hard copy. I also mentioned it was marked for fraud. She made a point of saying multiple times that the card wasn't marked for fraud but was flagged for my security. Yeah, sure. So, I sent a fax, of what they wanted almost 3 weeks ago, and not surprisingly, I have not received a refund.What are they doing with everyone's money? Maybe someone should investigate that!
