    I Purchased a 2018 Ram 2500 on Feb 8th 2024, I traded in a 2018 Ram 3500 that was financed though ******************** On wed 3/6 i received and balance increase hit on my credit monitoring service, i I call campus and they informed me that the loan had not been paid off, I inquired with the finance ***** ****, and he told me that he would check into it with the accounting ***** and someone would get back with me in 24 hrs. No response from ********** Toyota, so i Called **** again Monday 3/11 and finally received the tracking number for the check that was sent. Finance came back to me during the process and said that the pay off amount was not what i thought it was and gave me a new pay off amount of $39,900. The payoff amount that i received from the lender on 3/11 is $40,285.00. I feel that that ********** Toyota should be responsible for the difference Because they did NOT obtain an accurate Payoff from my Lender, and they did not attempt to pay off the lender in a timely manner resulting in additional interest being charged to my account

    ************ was my sales associate and everything was cool until I got to financing. ************ was assisting me and everything appeared to go smooth until we got to the "package upgrades". **** said the "basic" package was already included in the original quote I received for the vehicle, so I thought why not, let's just go ahead with this basic package, but after noticing about a $4-5k price increase on the subtotal (I'm financing the vehicle), I felt like something was wrong.It was then I realized that he tried to sneak in the upgrade without me fully acknowledging it, by making it seem like it was already included in the original quote, but there was a big price increase in which it seemed like he didn't pay much attention on. I asked him, why did my subtotal increase by almost $5k on the next page? ****'s response was "Oh this is how we make sure you get your low interest rate, the rate will go up about 2% if you don't agree to it" so I explained to him that was not the deal between me, **** and ****. **** then said "Listen you don't have to buy the car if you don't want to, we have other people that would really want to buy it". Mind you I have a relative in the room with me witnessing all of this happen. A new person came to help.Ultimately, I have the vehicle , but it's really hard not to realize that I was tried to be taken for a fool. It's a shame one person had to ruin the whole experience, or maybe it was an inside tactic to begin with that has worked on people in the past. Come to think of it, after looking back at it the monthly price that **** and **** projected to be was around $650 (what they projected my monthly payment to be with the down payment I put in and with the interest rate I was given) and with that basic protection package included my monthly payment was $652 and what do you know when I take off the protection package my price went down to like $535 surprisingly. Why did I have to discover I could be paying less per month? Go figure.
