My son brought his ****************** for a transmission service at ****** miles. The car ran good ,shifted fine before he brought it in to the **** dealer in palm coast *******. He gets the car back and within a couple days, the transmission starts failing. Hard shifting, traction control light would come on, service light would come on, and then the transmission would go into limp mode, meaning the car would lose power and just coast.Very dangerous. I made a appointment and brought it to ****. They told me the battery needed to be replaced, and 2 02 sensors needed to be replaced before the can diagnose the transmission. $770. Then the look at the transmission and said it needs to be replaced $5000 . They didn't pull any codes, no particular reason for failure, just needs to be replaced. I talked to the service manager, who was very nice. He said we have to pull the transmission and see what the problem was.I told him how the car was fine before we brought it to them, but they were not gonna take responsibility for the failure. We took the car home ,and the check engine light came on. I have a scanner, so I looked up the code. It was for the 02 sensors. I cleared the code and within that same day, the check engine light came back on. Called **** back up and told the service manager about it, he was no help at all, and now he was not as nice. I brought the car to a transmission place in Ormond and they had the transmission diagnosed by the end of the day. The service department at palm coast ford is terrible, do not bring your vehicle there, not even for an oil change.Palm Coast Ford Response

************** originally brought the Mustang in for a transmission flush. At that time he said he was not having any concerns with the transmission, just wanted the flush. Shortly after picking the vehicle up, he called in to discuss the issues he was having with the transmission at which time both father and son mentioned that the vehicle had been having issues shifting prior to the service we completed in December.Customer felt that the previous shifting issues are not related to any internal transmission fault and that fluid should effect any shifting concerns. Transmission performance is hydraulic pressure based. Advised customer to bring in vehicle for a proper diagnoses. Only work performed on vehicle was fluid exchange, new fluid will not causing transmission failure unless there was already an underlying issue.Customer Response

was just saying when we went to **** I never told them we were having transmission problems, cuz we weren't. I told him the reason why we came in to have a transmission service because the transmission wasn't shifting as smooth as it should have. And that's what happens **************** get mileage on them and the transmission fluid gets worn. That's why you do transmission services. The service manager actually said I would have did the same thing if he had the same issue with his car. So I never had transmission problems before. When we brought it there the service writer told my son that the technician overfilled the transmission probably at least a quart of fluid. Because he said they had to drain it before they could test anything cuz it was overflow. The problem with overfilling an automatic transmission especially that much fluid, it causes the fluid to bubble and foam, and it starts to pump a fluid and it could cause transmission damage. Also when we brought it there they charged me $770 to replace the battery in 202 sensors, and after we took the car that same day the check engine lights came on with those codes for the O2 sensors. I cleared it it came back on cleared again came back on. So I mean I don't know what's going on at this dealership what's going on but they caused a failure to the transmission in my son's car, and they want me to Shell out the money to repair it. They don't want to take any responsibility for what they did.Review from Joyce B.

We bought a 2016 ****** Tacoma on 2-8-2023. At the time we told them only run credit report once. They told us ******************* excepted our loan of $23,112.00. We did paperwork for Vystar loan trading our 2012 Buick Regal and $3000,00 down payment. They wanted us to come back for an extra key. We went in on 2-10-2023 and was told our loan had been rejected from *******************. But they were able the morning of 2-10-2023 to get us financed though MIDFLORIDA ************* Trusting them we signed paperwork for MIDFLORIDA ************* We received a email from carfax and discovered the engine was a 4 cylinder not a 6 cylinder in the ****** Tacoma as we were led to believe. After going back in to them we have discovered that they had raised the loan amount to $27215.00 though MIDFLORIDA ************* Checking with ******************* our loan for $23,112.00 had never been approved, it was rejected on 2-8-2023. I do have documents from *******************. So they lied and had us do all that paperwork knowing we were not approved. Plus they even called a Geico agent and had lien holder as ******************* put on our policy 2-8-2023. After finding out they lied I called MIDFLORIDA ************ and was informed that an account had been created for us on 2-8-2023 for the amount of $27215.00, higher interest rate and monthly payment though MIDFLORIDA ************ . So we are without our Buick , down payment and a loan of $27215.00 on a 2016 ****** Tacoma that is a plain **** 4 cylinder.Palm Coast Ford Response

We did a spot delivery for this customer. Vystar is a +++ bank which means they still add the taxes, tags and fees which put the amount looking to be financed at $27,140.34. We sent the information to Vystar and based on credit being limited, we were not able to obtain an approval. We then went thru MidFlorida credit union where we were able to get an approval. Customer's were aware of situation thru out the entire process.Review from Mike P

Vehicle pricing was discussed and agreed upon at the time the order was placed in 2021, with a signed buyers order from Mr. ****** There was an increase in price from the factory, however Mr. ****** vehicle was protected from the price increase. Once the dealership has received payment from **** for the amount it was protected at, that amount will be sent to Mr. ******Review from Erick H

Do your research even if you're buying from a company that you have dealt with for years. Bought a vehicle from this company and was charged a market adjustment fee of about $5000 dollars. We were led to believe it was a charge added on by Ford Motor Company so we didn't say anything about it. After some investigating we found out it was at the dealership discretion to charge the fee or not. Even found the same vehicle at a different dealership for 5500.00 less. Asked the other dealership about the fee and they didn't charge it. So after they put the figures together on paper, out the door, I would have paid a lot less. So after 15 plus years of buying 1 or 2 vehicles every 2 years, you would think they would waive the fee. That didn't happen. Even after talking with them and trying to get the fee removed or at least lowered, the answer was no! They say that they treat you like family and will do you right. Maybe in the past they did. But this costly mistake had removed us from their "family".Palm Coast Ford Response

We were led to believe that *********** added the market adjustment fee. You could have dropped the fee or at least lowered it for very loyal customers.Customer Response

They also tell you to come down and talk so they can make it right. That is just something to shut you up temporarily so they do not get bad reviews.
