KCB Realty will show you an apt, take your security deposit and first month’s rent via ***** to Broker Crystal B******, but then keep pushing back your move-in date. Then ON the final move-in date they will tell you that the unit isn’t available because it's been rented to someone else despite you having paid and signed a lease making it yours. They will never refund your money. Do your research on KCB Realty and Real Estate Broker Crystal **** B******. They also have horrible **** reviews and the World Global Fund just sued them for +54k where a confession of judgement was signed by Crystal (in other words, they were GUILTY). I am also in two cases with them right now as I was scammed out of money trying to rent from them and have incurred so much damages as a result of. I gave a security deposit in Dec 2021 after they BEGGED me to take the apt when I was looking. I called them on 12/31/20 to confirm move in time the next day and they told me the apt had a leak and would not be ready until February (I told them my current lease had ended and that I had an upcoming surgery). That extensive surgery was scheduled for 1/19/20 so that left me in a hotel until surgery and then with nowhere in NY to go afterwards. I was forced to stay with my boyfriend in VA until the apt was 'ready'. We eventually decided on a 3/1/2021 move-in date. Between this time I had signed the lease with the new move-in date and also sent Crystal first month's rent. Then, on 2/27/21 when I called to let them know I was on the way to pick up the keys as scheduled (drove all the way back from VA), Crystal wouldn't answer but had a third party call to tell me my apt was rented to someone else. They expressed that there were no more units to put me in leaving me homeless and out thousands of dollars right after a surgery I just had in January. And Crystal STILL has my money as of May 21, 2021. They have been non-responsive and having the same third party man reach out to me a few times. I don't even know how he is affiliated with KCB Realty and he will never answer when I ask. The KCB Realty office listed here is shut down and closed, and they do not have an alternative address. This has been the worst time of my life since end of last year due to being scammed by KCB Realty, Crystal B****** and the landlord of the specific building they showed me. The Sheriff's office has had problems tracking them down to serve them their court summons because they keep themselves so under the radar for obvious shady reasons. They need to stop conning people out of homes and money as well as stop acting like it's no big deal when it's truly traumatic and unethical. Crysal's personal real estate license as well as the entities' should be revoked.
