      Without warning, Hiscox just pulled $700 from my account. No notice, no increase in my insurance, no written warning!

      If there was a negative I'd give them one. We rented to one of their customers who named us additionally insured for a specific event. Their customer damaged our property so we filed a claim. We provided pictures of the proof of damage, quote, and even an email where their customer says they are at fault however, they "respectfully" declined our claim with a bunch of meaningless insurance jargon. Beware!!!! It appears by the other 3 reviews they are basically unethical in all forms of their business. They are partners with ******** and Company who also has terrible reviews as well.

      this company ***** !!! NO one has an email - no one has an answer, no one wants to help !!!I will more than likely cancel my policy because NO ONE CAN GIVE ME AN EMAIL or someone to talk to to help increase my coverage !!! I WOULD NOT USE THIS CRAPPY company to do anything !!! WHAT A JOKE !!

      Just called with a question regarding a quote, got information about sexual abuse, how to hire people but never got a quote. The lady on the phone is absolutely useless, looks like she doesn't listen, understand or know what they are selling. They advertise Subcontractor Liability, but in fact they don't even know what is that. Waisted my time, had an unpleasant conversation and would never use their service even if they provide what I need.

      We have reviewed the call, and our senior Advisor has reached out to the customer to apologize for the mis-understanding and to clarify that Hiscoxs Direct product offering does not offer the coverage sought.  We do offer products with this coverage in our channel that is serviced by agents who work through our network of wholesale broker partners.    If interested, we would be happy to refer you to a participating agent in your region.

      Worst company I have ever done business with. Took my 400 bucks to start my insurance. When I called 5 days later to cancel due to them not covering my tools for what they were worth. They offered me 5 grand to cover 30 grand worth of equipment. Said that's all they can offer. So I switched to another company and they refused to refund me. Place is a joke

      Hiscox Inc. I have cancelled my policy with this insurance **** But they still charged my credit card without my authorization and consent. I have tried to contact them so many times, but they failed to response. Finally, they informed me that they would email their supervisor and followed up with me within 24 hours. Two weeks has passed, and they have never tried to contact me. The reason I had to cancel my policy was the Hiscox's premium is much pricier than my current one and they still keep $732.00 from me by unauthorized charge to my credit card. It's against the law and unprofessional.

      The absolute worst insurance company. Complete fraud. They sold me a general liability policy as a marketing agency and when I filed a claim said it wouldn't cover anything I do because I needed a professional policy. They took my money for 5 years knowing they would never pay a claim. If that's not fraud, I don't know what is. How can companies like this stay in business.

      Canceled the policy they used my credit card without my authorization. For a whopping 17 grand putting me over my limit 4 grand. And are not at this point reversing the charge. I called the card company and disputed it. They say these things take time. And at some point if they find I'm innocent I might get the 17 grand reversed. Hiscox said it was an honest mistake. But now that I see these other reviews I understand it was totally deliberate. Where is the accountability. Scammers. Where is the oversight and regulations. It has to be against the law.

      I would give a negative star if possible! This company, Hiscox Inc, does nothing but give you the run around. When calling into the help center [**************], the name comes up as Sutherland Global Services. I cancelled my policy for the second time and was still being charged a monthly premium. Finally after the third call on 10/4/22, the gentleman cancelled my policy and emailed me documentation of the cancellation. I then continued to receive multiple emails indicating my policy will renew on 1/3/23 & the cost of that renewal was double the amount of the previous year, none the less the fact that the policy was cancelled on 10/4/22. My credit card was then charged again on 12/4/22, for a policy that was cancelled! I then contacted the company on 12/5/22 to be refunded & to ensure policy was cancelled. I was told the policy would be cancelled and CC would be refunded. I then asked for an email confirmation and to speak with a manager to address that the policy was cancelled but still being billed. I was given the run around about not being able to copy me on the email and that I would receive a manager call back. Until the rep disconnected the call. I then called back & spoke with another rep that indicated the policy was canceled but that the renewal was not canceled. I mean what? Why would you keep a renewal on a cancelled policy? She indicated that she cancelled the renewal and reversed payment to CC. She gave me a confirmation # but still indicated I wouldn't be able to speak with a manager but would receive a call back and the email confirmation would take upto 24 hrs to reach me. While she was much more helpful, the operations of this business and it's call center are unacceptable. Two hours later I still haven't received confirmation that the entire policy and 'renewal' was cancelled and CC payment was refunded. I am 99.9% sure that I will not receive a call back and will need to call again tomorrow and never receive this email confirmation.
