    528 Armor Storage was recently bought by Crescendo Properties, doing business as Shield Storage. WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION, they increased the monthly unit charge from $70 to $23. I never received any email, call or notice. I tried calling the office multiple times, only to be routed to a call center (where I left a detailed message) or an answering system (where I left detailed message). Yet nobody ever contacted me to resolve the dispute. I even went to the 528 business office, and the manager could not help me resolve the issue, but I did learn that they had the incorrect mailing address for me even though I've updated my address with them recently when I needed to update my credit card information on file. Apparently the additional charge is for an insurance policy - which I did NOT authorize. Now they've increased the amount for the unit - again I did NOT authorize, and they're charging my credit card on auto pay. Nobody has called to help me resolve this issue.

    This business applied a $22 protection plan charge to my account with no notice or authorization. When I called them on it, they said that they sent out letters to everyone on September 2, 2022 (the day that I signed up with them for service) giving 3 months notice to all customers to provide their own insurance or be automatically charged by them for their insurance. I received no letter and no notification letter and was not notified verbally in person at sign up on September 2. The worker would not give me the three months afforded to every one, nor would he give me even 2 weeks to find an insurer. The worker and was rude, condescending, argumentative, and basically called me a liar when I told him that I did not receive any notice. He said he had a receipt for mailing the letter - when I asked to see it, he said that he did not have to show it to me because I am not with the State of NM. I asked to see the insurance policy to see what the insurance covered and he said that he did not have to show it to me - he gave me a phone number. I asked for him to remove the charge because I was not notified and he said no. This place has terrible customer service and I do not recommend it.
