The experience with Stone Systems was really bad. They are installers for *********** They messed up the installation date and when they finally showed up to do the installation they were in and out really quickly and couldn't have checked the countertop to ensure that is was installed correctly. The counter tops were unsupported in places and the countertop would vibrate when you touch or tap on the top. There were lots of gaps between the counter tops bottom and the top of the cabinets so I could see light in between the two surfaces when viewed from the side. On the one island, there was a 1/8" gap causing the counter top to vibrate up and down like a diving board. There were long gaps (many feet) in many locations. Most problems could have been avoided if the installers slowed down and checked their work. They were also supposed to install supports for the counter top which they did. Instead of making the support flush with the tops of the cabinet, they installed the supports so the top surface of the supports was above the top surface of the cabinets. This resulted in the counter top being supported only on the supports (4 points along a 10 foot counter length) and along the front edge of the cabinets. There is a wide gap between the cabinet top surface and the counter top at the back of the cabinet. The island, has a 15" over hang for a breakfast bar. I can imagine my kids and their friends sitting on the edge of the counter top and having it fall forward onto them since it wasn't adhered well. It is impossible to get Stone Systems to return my call to fix the counter tops. I had to contact HD. Stone Systems did finally come back to attempt to fix the issues but sent the same installers and not the manager who said they would show up. The installers were defensive and didn't really fix things and no one called to see if the issues were resolved. I would not use this company in the future and recommend that they be avoided.
