On 2/28/23 a gentleman called and asked if he could come out and clean my vents in my home. I let him know yes. He said he needed to go to pick up his supplies. The individual called me at 9:30 to tell me he could not locate my residence. I spoke with him 10 different times giving him directions. I finally decided to tell him I would meet him wherever he was at. I met him on Hwy 68. He was no where close to my house. He followed me to my home. He said he forgot to grab rags, so I had to lend him my supplies. He was shown all the vents I needed him to clean. i asked him to clean 7 out of the 8 as one of the vents is located under a bed and I could not move the bed by myself. The individual did not assist or offer to help me. The individual was in my home for an hour when he told me he was done. He packed up and got ready to leave. He apologized about the rags I lent him and said they got sucked up by the shop vac he was using. I attempted to pay him and he told me that he couldn't take the payment and that I needed to pay the business themselves. I noticed his vehicle read the Plumbers and I asked for clarification as I had scheduled my appt with Hawk Mechanical. He informed me that that was their other company name. On 3/1/23 I called them to let them know that the technician had only cleaned 5 out of the 7 vents he was supposed to clean. They said they would talk to him and send him out the following day. I have still not heard from them about this issue. So the job they were hired for has yet to be completed in its entirety. On 3/3/23 I received an invoice from the plumbers in the amount of $518.00. I immediately called the business and was yelled about by the secretary after I informed her that the statement was wrong. I informed her of the amount she had quoted me. She then changed her story and told me they charged a $149.00 an hour. I reminded her that I had asked for confirmation of the price when it was quoted. She then commented I've been here a long time and was very rude to me when o told her that is not what she quoted me. I sent an email to the email address on the bill and the email was rejected. I called several times to talk to the owner or a supervisor and was told on several occasions that no one was available. I left several messages and none of them have been returned. I then looked into this business and realized they are running their business under two names because their reputation has gotten bad because of different bad transactions like this one. After speaking to different people they informed me this is not the first time they had charged people different job totals after the job was completed. I feel very disappointed by all this. The job was not completed to its entirety and also was never contacted to finish. He also utilized my supplies and then they wanna charge me for them. Also that was not the correct price I was quoted.
