I made lodging reservations for two employees on 1/10/2022. The employees were checking into Kachina Lodge on 1/11/2022. With the project the employees had to complete at the Taos Ski Area, it was unclear if they were only going to need to stay 1 night, or if they needed to stay 2, so I made the reservation for 2 nights. The two employees only ended up needing to stay the 1 night, so they went to the front desk and checked out on 1/12/2022. The rooms were supposed to be billed under my company credit card, and I had filled out a credit card authorization form and sent that over to the hotel on 1/10/22. The front desk told the employees that they could not give them a receipt because it was being billed to a third party. The front desk ended up billing one of the employee's personal credit (that he provided for incidentals) card for two nights. We did not find out this information until 1/14/2022. When I received my credit card statement on 2/10/22, I found that my card had been charged for one nights lodging at the Kachina Lodge. We contacted Pinder G*** about the mishap, and asked if he could refund the one night of lodging back to my card, since the other nights of lodging had already been paid. He refused to do so, and claimed that one of the employees checked out on 1/12 and the other checked out on 1/13. I told him this was not possible because they were riding in the same vehicle, and were both back at the office in Grand Junction on 1/13. My co-worker also called Pinder to see if he could get the extra charge resolved, and after a somewhat heated discussion where Pinder was stating he needed proof that one of the employees did not stay for two nights, he told my co-worker "If you want your money back, your going to have to come and get it!". Pinder also claimed he was going to check with his employees for more information, and so far has failed to do so. He also stated to me that "This is not a big deal." Charging for extra nights, is a big deal.
