We had new aspen pads installed on our swamp cooler this year. The straw that comes off the pads has clogged the central water feed to the pads. I'm too old to get on the roof to service it myself. I called TLC about the problem and they say that i will have to pay another service call fee plus a repair fee to fix it. Don't call TLC if you are a senior on a fixed income. Old people are really at the mercy of these types of businesses like TLC. Its hot this year and we can't afford another service call so we will just have to endure the heat until it gets cooler. I used to like TLC Heating and Plumbing in ***********, ** until I found out for the last several years, they have not even been doing basic service in changing out my AC to Heat and vice versa. Due to their negligence allowed a lot of rust to grow and cause more costly problems. The biggest beef I have with them is initially they had quoted a cost for 4 Breezair Cooler Pads for my Breeziar EVS 155 model AC of ****** for onsite service and ****** for the Cooler Pads and that they would honor a senior citizen discount. I had looked online and found original manufactured pads for ****** for a set of 4. TLC's price originally quoted were higher but since they already had them, I figured I could get them installed faster at the $****** price. After the techs were finished, they said the bill was over $700.00 and there were no additional parts needed This was just for the pads. I told them that was not what I was quoted, and they said not to worry about it and that the office would call and straighten it out. 2 weeks past and no contact from them. I finally called myself and they tried to get out of it by saying that the dispatcher made a mistake and quoted me for pads for a Master **** and not ******** as I had told her. I told them that was not my fault and had I been quoted the $700 price I would not have used their service. I told them to correct this invoice for the $350 less my senior citizen discount. I was told they would in the next 2 days. Fast forward about another 3 weeks. They sent me an invoice for the $700+. I replied back that this was not correct and to change it to the $350.00 less my senior citizen discount. 2 weeks later they finally send the invoice for the $350.00 plus tax, and saying my invoice was now past due to pay immediately. I wanted to finish this nightmare so I paid the $376.00 and told them to take me out of their database as I will never do business with them again.TLC Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical Response

***********************, our HVAC tech was absolutely amazing!! This is the tech you want to show up at your door! **** has been the most professional and courteous person I have interacted with at TLC. We had an AC issue during back to back 100+ degree days. We called on a Monday morning a little after 7 am, we were told someone would be out by 5 pm to address our AC issues. We called around 3:30 pm, just to check if we were still in scope to have a tech out to our house by 5 pm. We were told we were on schedule to have a tech out by 5 and that the techs work until all their assigned service calls are complete. We called the scheduling team again around 5:20 pm to inquire on the status of our service call. We were notified that there was some sort of issue with our service call and that we possibly wouldnt be able to reschedule a visit until Thursday! What a bummer, but understandable due to the high temps and demand for HVAC service/repairs. After a brief hold with the scheduling team, we were notified that TLC would send a tech out ASAP that evening as per the service expectations set that morning during our initial call for service. Within two minutes **** called! **** was willing to come out that evening and at least diagnose the issues. However, we felt bad that our service request was given to him so late in the evening. **** was able to get us scheduled first thing Tuesday morning. That was a huge relief to our family. **** showed up right on time with a smile and the best attitude. **** was so helpful and very informative. He took the extra time to explain to us what the issue was and made sure we understood. 5 Star rating is completely based on the friendly service that **** provided! AC was rattling and becoming progressively louder over time. **** from TLC diagnosed the problem as a loose motor mounting bolt and a loose AC housing nut. He resolved the issues and dropped the decibel level about 15 points. Well done ****.TLC Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical Response
