Their website states "The Vitamin Shoppe Family of Brands Our brands are put through 320 rigorous quality assurance steps, and ingredient purity and potency are verified by independent, third-party labs. You can feel confident that all products from The Vitamin Shoppe family of brands meet or exceeds industry quality standards." BUT does not state who are the 3rd party testers anywhere that I can find on their site and when attempting to search the store brand products I purchased under "Certificate of Analysis", that is listed at bottom of the page, by lot# none of the store brand supplements will pull up. I even call the store and had them read me additional Lot#. I would give less than a 1 if I could. Sounds like a lot of untruth/lies and misleading information.Review from Tiffany J

Warning! The **** ***** store will bait and switch on you!!Per the return rules on the website, I was bringing back 3 items of the same brand with one opened. I figured if I didnt like the one item that the others would be equally bad. The order was a place online, pick up in store deal. I ended up finding out I was given the wrong item the day I picked up the order. They were low key trying to blame me for the mix up until I shut that down immediately. How could it be my fault if I was picking up a pre packed order?!Then, the manager ******* made up rules on the spot regarding my clearance returnssaid they were final sale. I pulled up the rules posted online (that I was following) and asked him to show me where it says what hes saying. Of course no one could point it out. Tried arguing my point with customer service on the phone. I felt like I was speaking with professional gaslighters, and I know that terms gets thrown out a lot but they were literally telling me what I was reading from Vitamin Shoppes actual website was wrong. Absolute craziness and Ive been a loyal customer of the company for a long time now. Talked in circles for over half an hour and got nowhere. Best part was speaking to a supervisor who understood my situation and told me I could have my return picked up by a courier, BUT I wouldnt know when they would show upI should just have my items boxed and ready for this mystery person to show up randomly in 3-5 business days. Yes this all really happened, I am not embellishing anything. If they could have just shown me the rules they were trying to enforce that would have been the end of it! I worked retail for 10 ish years; I always try to be a considerate customer, but what they did was absolutely wrong.After that insanity, I ended up going to my usual home location they were helpful as usual, so I was able to get some of my money back. ****** learned about straying. Regardless Im done though. Stay away from this Vitamin Shoppe!Review from Bryan S

You must be careful, the employees give incorrect information, in my account I asked for the number of accumulated points they told me ******, when I made another purchase they had already told me that I had more than ******. They did this to keep the points and not change them, I had to file a complaint with the prosecutor's office, I will wait for a solution.The Vitamin Shoppe Response

Thank you for your patience while we reviewed your account. This issue was escalated to Corporate to which we replied on June 10th. After review, we see that you earned a total of ****** points for 2024 and you redeemed ****** points in the form of rewards. Due to exceeding the ****** point maximum per year, you stopped earning points on 6/7/2024. You will begin earning points again next year. We understand that you were told you only had ****** points before your purchases, but we cannot locate this conversation. If you have any additional information, like the date you contacted us or the name of the person you spoke with we can research this further. I wanted to ensure that I received the product on time in order to avoid any interruption in usage and to see consistent results. However, the delivery was made to the wrong address and it was marked as delivered with a photo, but not my front door. The company initially hesitated to resend the product to the correct address despite my explanation that the photo did not match my front door. After providing a picture of my actual front door, they agreed to send another shipment. Unfortunately, this second shipment was never sent out as the tracking number stated the shipping label was made but never received. Which I can only assume they made the label and never shipped it, since the reorders are primarily 2 day shipping in turn costs the company more money. Cheaper for them not to send it. After numerous attempts to resolve the issue with virtual assistants and customer service for over a week, a *************************** eventually informed me that they would issue a refund instead of sending the product. The Vitamin Shop's customer service and shipping process were very disappointing. In the future, I will be ordering from Amazon and recommend others to do the same.The Vitamin Shoppe Response

The Vitamin Shoppes online ordering system and the ************* ******* location have a poor inventory system in place. When an item is shown in stock and paid for in full it should be pulled and placed in secure location quickly. When ordered after hours an employee that arrives to open the location should have responsibility to pull orders before doors open to meet the purchase. This location appears to have poor inventory control, and company does not offer any resolve when in error. No option just a cancel and email response. Cold ! Most companies would ship on their dime to client, offer another store locally, or order in the product and offer a delay if client wants item. By failing to respond quickly and fairly the item(s) can be sold out at other locations also. Essentially the client is not valued for their purchase and paying for item in advance.Review from John H

The service at this business has gotten worse over the past year. I have shopped there for over a decade. Today I went in and there were no customers in the store, only one clerk talking to another male about football, their kids, their supplements of choice. I was not greeted when I went in even though the clerk looked right at me, no did he ask if I needed help finding items. I picked out 2 jars of whey protein, and put them on the check out counter. The clerk looks right at me, then goes back to gossip. After a couple of minutes I turn and walk out. The clerk just watches me leave. Why would he not serve me? Because I'm elderly (age 80)? that is age discrimination. Or because I had on a USAF hat/shirt and perhaps he doesn't like veterans. Or just he not give a ****. I placed an order online in June 2023. I received the first part of my order within a week. The second part of the order came within 2 weeks. After checking the website I learned the final part of my order was on backorder. From that point, I received at least three notices that stated my order would be shipped and received in July, and then August. After not receiving the order nearly 2 months after it was placed I called customer service. **************** stated that my order was held up by the delivery carrier and she would resend the shipment. I was given a new arrival time of 5-7 business days. Two weeks later, I still haven't received anything. I made a call today and the new customer service representative stated that I should have called within 30 days to resolve this and I wasn't eligible for a new order or refund! I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told I called their corporate office and there was nothing they could do. I will not be making a purchase with them again due to the poor customer service.Review from Alison V

This review is regarding the Vitamin Shoppe on **************************************************** in **********, ********. Today my husband and I who frequently visit this store came in to shop and were told the service dog in training that was with me was not welcome in the store. The employee seemed confused and thought she was a pet and tried to tell me that if another customer entered the store I would have to take the dog outside. I tried to explain that she was a service animal and not a pet and he could not ask us to leave the store. To be clear this is not an emotional support or therapy animal it was a seeing eye dog in training which under federal and ** state law (** code 51.5-44) is protected in the same way that fully trained service animals are protected i.e. cannot be denied access to public areas. I tried to explain this to the employee and they stated they didn't understand what the problem was and that next time I should have my husband hold the dog outside the store while I shopped. We walked over with two dogs, one of which is a pet who did wait outside with my husband (so clearly I was not just trying to bring my pets with me to a public place) while I and the service dog in training entered the store. The dog was in the appropriate leash, had a vest which indicated she was a service dog in training and identified the organization through which she was trained. I am writing this review because Vitamin Shoppe needs to properly educate their employees on laws regarding service animals. This is a completely unacceptable experience.Review from Lawrence L

Awful customer service. I placed a same day pick up order online three days ago. I went today, but I could not pick up my supplements that I paid for because Corporate had to verify my address. I was asked to call again in three days. I cancelled my order.The Vitamin Shoppe Response

Went in to get another bottle of vitamin K+D3 and after getting rang up, I processed to ask for a bag. The man didnt respond and the white lady with dirty blonde hair observed and didnt bother helping until we were out the door and all of a sudden they care. Will not be supporting this company nor visiting again.
