They do not honor the return policy as printed on the receipt. We recently purchased an animatronic at our local Spirit Halloween store. When we got it home and took it out of the box we discovered that parts were missing. I figured we could just go back and exchange it for a different one with all the parts so we headed back to the store immediately. Despite the fact that the receipt clearly states that "We will gladly offer refunds through October 18th" and "Exchanges will be offered through October 24th" they refused to honor this policy. Instead they insisted that I would need to contact Spirit directly via phone or email to get a replacement. After a phone call and an email, Spirit Halloween's "Zombie Tech Squad" emailed me a ***** label to start the return/exchange process. So now, after making an additional trip to the store to unsuccessfully exchange the item, I also got to make a trip to a ***** drop off location. It also turns out that the ***** label they sent me was NOT overnight, and they will not ship us a replacement until the item is received. So maybe two weeks after purchasing this animatronic in store, we will finally get our replacement. This has been a horrible customer experience all around. We typically spend several hundred dollars each year at Spirit Halloween on decorations, costumes, etc. We won't anymore.Spirit Halloween Response

***************. They sent me not one, but TWO damaged products from their inventory. I have extensive photos and evidence that this left the warehouse in this condition. The outer ***** shipping box had NO damage, but upon opening the box the TWO boxed dolls I had ordered were ripped apart, damaged beyond belief and to top it all off... you won't believe this... the person who packed the shipment tried to tape over the box tears and holes with stickers and tape!!! This company is a shame! You shouldn't even be in business. Terrible company that only cares about money and not delivering the product they say they will. I want to know why was I charged a $40 oversize shipping fee for an order when my package was only 25 inches in size when the standard size for oversize shipping is 130 inches?! Such a scam!Spirit Halloween Response

Good afternoon, Ash. There were two animatronic items purchased on order 606337230. The listings online note both items as having Oversize item fees; these Oversize charges are set by the postal carriers and can be calculated by the size, weight, or combined dimensions of the parcel being shipped. Upon review, this order shows a $23.00 shipping fee for one animatronic and $22.99 shipping fee for the other. If you were charged a different amount than what was detailed for these items, please let us know so we may look into this further. Thank you.Review from Laura L

Spirit Halloween scams their customers on overnight shipping. I paid $32.99 for overnight shipping at check out. Spirit Halloween customer service stated to me that it takes a minium of 2 to 3 days to get an overnight shipping.Spirit Halloween Response

This company is nothing but a scam company. I placed an order with them (first time) and the next day I got a shipping confirmation with tracking number. It has been 3 days since and ***** still says it is an invalid tracking number or not found. I have no idea if my order actually shipped or not. I am guessing not since ***** has no record of that tracking number. So this must be just a delay tactic. I have tried emailing them (based on email the order/shipping confirmation came from) and all emails have come back as undeliverable. I would not order from them again, They appear to be a scam website and don't actually ship products. I will be contacting Paypal to get my money back. Unless you want to throw away your ******************'t use them. I did make sure and confirm that I was using their primary website since there are actual fake websites using their name. But I argue that even their legit main company website is a scam as well since they just provide fake tracking numbers. Based on other reviews, even if I could get a hold of their customer support, they take forever to send refunds (more was to delay people getting their money back). So I will just go direct to Paypal, My order was about 20 bucks with shipping. It isn't a lot of money, but I do not like being scammed and stolen from.Spirit Halloween Response

Upon review, this order ********* was placed on 5/8/24 with Standard shipping and began processing into our system at 4:31pm. Records show the order was processed for shipment by the fulfillment facility on Thursday 5/9/24 at 5:30am. Movement will not reflect on the tracker until the carrier scans the package at a sorting facility; as multiple packages are loaded onto a pallet for pick up, individual packages are not scanned by the carrier at our dock. Standard shipping can take up to 3-7 business days (Monday-Friday, excluding weekends and holidays) to deliver once shipped. At this time, this parcel has been in transit for 1 business day. Please allow the full shipping timeframe for the carrier to update this tracker and complete delivery. Purchased a beetle juice costume online plus overnight shipping but received a totally different costume (joker). Continued to call after being promised a refund which there is no record of being processed. When calling they kept saying it would be a manual return but still haven't received a refund.. Ordered on 10/26/2023. They send a credit has been issued back to your account email without it being issued back to the account. When calling to ask about why, it is still processing. This seems to be a scam, instead of returning my money because you didn't have it, you send me a different costume. $85.59 wasted money.Spirit Halloween Response

Good afternoon ********. We're sorry to hear you did not receive the refund for your online order. Upon review, we see the shipping and sales tax were entered for return on 10/29/23, in the amounts of $27.49 and $5.60 respectively. These are processed separately by the system and should have been received within 7-21 business days at the original payment method. Looking into this further we do see that the remainder item value was not successfully processed back to the Paypal account on file. At this time we have re-entered this return and provided your information to the ****************** to ensure it is processed successfully and the funds received. They are nothing but a scam and a joke. I bought three costumes from them they were over a week late coming in so I refuse to order. They received the order and confirmed that they received it and refused to give me my refund by giving me a constant runaround about which department's job it was to do that and that nobody had processed it yet that's been since October the 31st of 2023 it is now March the 8th of 2014.Spirit Halloween Response

I bought a costume, and it did not fit. I returned the costume and paid the postage myself. Spirit Halloweens customer service was contacted more than four times. I was promised a refund and even told that the tax would be refunded first, a smaller amount, and the cost of the costume would be refunded later. I was sent emails confirming that a refund was made, but it was not true. I have even spoken to customer service reps over the phone several times, and they also outright lied about the refund. This is not a responsible, reliable or trustworthy company. I will never purchase a costume from them again.Spirit Halloween Response

Once an electronic refund is initiated, it runs automatically until the process is complete and the funds are released to your account. If any errors occur, interrupting this process, the refund may appear completed in the system despite the funds not being received. Unfortunately once an electronic refund is processed, it cannot be re-initiated, and a manual refund would need to be processed instead. Bad customer service! They sold me an inflatable costume with a broken fan so the costume wouldnt work. I asked for a refund. I had to email them several times. I got a new timeline each time. Im still waiting for my refund 60 business days later!! I finally made an appeal with my credit card. Spirit Halloween Dont bother giving me one of your generic apologies that is disingenuous and wont amount to anything being corrected. Placed an order in October, shipped it back before November and never got a refund for it. I have emailed customer service every few weeks and keep getting the run around on why they cant issue a refund directly. It is now almost February and I still havent gotten my money back. I called again today and got the same im pushing your refund through to finance response that I have gotten every time I have contacted them.
