We called for emergency service because the heat was not working on a very cold night. The charge for just the visit was $150. There was an additional charge of $50 for diagnosing and fixing the problem. The problem was that the emergency switch to the heat was accidently turned off. This occurred because the emergency switch is located next to the utility room light switch. The service person noticed this right away when entering the utility room. We have no issues for the $150 for the emergency visit, but the $50 is a ridiculous add on fee in this circumstance. I spoke to the arrogant field manager by phone and told him of my complaint. He scolded me saying, "Do you want us to do this for free" and "You should call the gas company then." The field manager's attitude was antagonistic and disrespectful. Furthermore, being sarcastic and discourteous to clients will certainly cost Petro my business in the future.

I signed up with PETRO because the salesman was so aggressive, promised the world, and to stop his hounding phone calls I finally relented. I just bought this home and while I was moving in he asked my realtor for my phone number and she gave it to him. I signed up for the service contract for furnace maintenance and service. When it came time for the annual preventive maintenance work, they said I only had a contract for one burner and this house has two, so they only did half the job. The aggressive sales guy said he was familiar with the system because the previous owner used them. These guys will lie, lie, lie to get your money and then only do half the expected job. They also wanted to charge me again to do the other furnace. I didn’t think it should b3e double since they already have to come out to do one, they don’t have to come again to do two when the units are adjacent to each other. Find a more trustworthy and reputable company than this one. I do not recommend them. Customer service just gives platitudes, no real knowledge at this company. Field tech only care about their union wages and won’t lift a finger to go above and beyond

I only have TOTAL REGRETS using this company. I am anticipating giving them one star. I signed with this company sometime in December of 2021. Before I received a delivery from them I was billed on 3 occasions. I finally got a delivery and the amount was 7+ hundred dollars. I called because I was advised to use there budget payment where I will not be paying more than a certain amount each delivery. I made my first partial payment of $300.00 for my first delivery on01-18-22. On the 01-30-22, I got a bill for another $226.90 how much oil will one use in a two week period so now whatever I was told I’ll be paying per delivery is triple, speaking with their very incompetent staff with very little knowledge of what is happening is worst than speaking with an infant. The person with whom I spoke with told me because I am a new customer the company is seeing what my oil consumption will be how much oil can I use in 2 weeks. Also this company does not give you any decision making, I am not allow to say when I want a delivery, I am not allowed to be taken off of automatic delivery which I never knew I was on. All I am allowed to do is pay this company. The only sensible thing the customer rep said is that I should of been told I will be no automatic delivery. I have been with ******* for a number of years and how I regret leaving them, How will I know when a delivery is expected. I really really want out of this company.  They tell you everything positive to get you in then what you expect is different. I WAS OUT OF THIS COMPANY, I WANT TO KNOW BEFORE WHEN THEY WILL BE DELIVERING OIL. I HAVE ONLY REGRETS GOING WITH THIS COMPANY. I NEED OUT FAST. I AM BEING FORCED TO GIVE A STAR NOT EVEN THAT I HAVE AN OPTION,THIS COMPANY DO NOT DESERVE TO BE RATED.

O called for a weekday delivery of oil. The delivery was changed by them to a Sunday. The delivery ticket showed a price of $5.499 per gallon. When I called to complain and have this corrected I was told the actual price was $ 4.939 per gallon which is still ridiculously high. They would only adjust this down to $ 4.539 per gallon. Prices in my area are $3.299 to $ 3.70 per gallon but I have a service agreement with them that requires me to purchase oil from them. I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income and feel that I'm being taken advantage of with this price gouging.

Petro told me they would not provide oil burner service to me unless I signed up for automatic delivery. Prior to signing up, their initial oil price delivered to me for home heating oil was consistent with the prevailing cash price as determined by all the local providers in the area (*********************). Since I needed my burner serviced and their initial price was fair, I signed up for their auto delivery service. After receiving several deliveries using their automatic delivery service their price increased to more than .45 cents above the prevailing cash price (that's a $70 surcharge per fill). They never disclosed the price to me until after they delivered it. The price charged was always non-negotiable. Their position is it costs them more to place me on automatic delivery status (that makes no sense). So basically, I am paying a surcharge for the privilege of giving them my business. Other companies will give you a discount for signing up for auto delivery. It is my belief if you sign up for auto delivery with these guys, they will use you to offset the loss they a realizing on their customers on a fixed price program.

Scam artists!!! They claim to fill up our tanks, and they never show up. This happened multiple times and I was sent bill after bill. The person in charge is rude and this company needs to get shut down. If you ****** them or **** them, look at the reviews. Everyone has the same complaint. It can't be that coincidental. It's called SCAM ARTIST running a legal company.
