This company advertises trips and places you will go to and see but then you when you’re on the bus they change plans and visits! You almost are held hostage traveling with them! We were scheduled to visit a museum and would have two hours there! The tour coordinator allowed extra times at half hour stops during the day and by the time we got to the museum we were two hours late and only had 45 minutes. If that wasn’t enough after, we were to stop for supper there were no restaurants around that could handle 47 people at 8:00 PM since she had not called or made arrangements for the group, so we were let out on a street and told we could find something on our own! We had two choices and both of these restaurants had full parking lots! The next day again we started out late and tried to catch up all day! We had lunch at 1:00 PM and was told instead of stopping for our scheduled supper we would go on to our Destination and we could find somewhere to eat on our own! And this is where the hostage situation comes in! We ran late due to stops and refueling and just unorganized all around on the Tour Coordinator part. At 8:00 we begged to stop for supper and were ignored. So we called the manager of the company and were told he could do nothing and it and they were on vacation and hung up on us! By 10:30 we arrived to the hotel with all restaurants closed. She ordered pizza and put it on a table in the lobby of the hotel. It was cold, no plates, nothing to drink and no place to eat but to carry it up to your rooms without a plate!! The 4th day we were to go to a tulip festival. We arrived 1 1/2 late so all we had time for was to watch the parade! The last day we were to go to Notre Dame and tour. She told us the night before they never did get back to her on us visiting i guess she was not smart enough to check on this before advertising this for the trip? So again she rerouted us to head home! So we did not get what was advertised. PS the bus has mechanical issues alsoReview from Ronald S

I've been traveling with Elite for 6 years now. Their trips are organized and full of many stops and adventures for a great price. The tour guides and drivers have been friendly and if there is a problem that arises they get help from the owners to find an alternative answer. Very few times have the trips run into problems that couldn't be solved and if not the owners pick up the bill for dinners that weren't included. I have enjoyed Mackinac Island trip, Niagra Falls, New York City, Padre Island, Grand Canyon and hope to travel with them again next year.Elite Tours Response

We recently traveled on a Grand Canyon tour with Elite Goody tours (9/26-10/2/22). There must be two tour companies with the same name, in reading some of the reviews they are so wonderful, but in our experience it was a trip from Hell! We stayed in motels that were well below our expectations as in 1 or 2 star places, one of which had no elevator and had seniors staying on the second floor with no one to take their luggage up for them. Of all the stops only once did the motel have someone to run bags to the rooms and pick up the next morning, otherwise you took care of your own luggage. We pulled into one motel we were scheduled to stay in and the had no reservations for our group, we had to split between 2 other places, the one we stayed in was a whopping $35 a night so you can imagine the accommodations there! Another stop ended up 4 rooms short so two passengers, the bus driver, and tour guide went to another town 15 miles away to stay the night. We went by the flyer for the things we'd see but over 1/2 of those sights were never seen either because they were closed on the day we were to be there, time restrictions didn't allow the stop, or no reason given why we weren't going there. The meals were good when we stopped some places but we also ate at truck stops for 5 meals and one of those was both lunch and supper. We have sent a letter to Steve and not gotten a response from him as of yet and I know others have been offered compensation but in the form of a voucher to travel with them again.. this was our first and last bus trip with Elite Goody and I will never travel with Elite Goody tours again!Review from Pam C

Just got back from Grand Canyon & Lake Powell 9/25 - 10/2/22 the parks were beautiful but I will not use this tour company again. They advertised we were going to Wichita for two attractions but we did not go to Wichita. We missed several attractions listed on the Itinerary because they were closed. We had time cut short at major attractions because we were late, we ran late everyday. One night we did not have a hotel to stay in, they didn't make reservations. We had to drive an extra hour to find a place to stay, then they split the group into two locations, one being a MOTEL $30 a night, not a good place to stay. The last night they did not reserve enough rooms, we were 4 short so again a group had to travel to another town for a hotel. All the hotels they put us in were 2 star hotels except for 1. Most nights we did not get to the hotel until 10 pm even though the itinerary listed a much earlier check in. Lunches were at a truck stop except for 1, usually late 1:30 - 2:00. This company needs to make major improvements.Elite Tours Response

We had some extenuating circumstances for this tour. I live in Cape Coral, Florida, which was devastated by Hurricane Ian. We had no power or internet service, and had to flee to the east coast of Florida. During this time, we had no way to communicate with our tour coordinators, hotels or attractions. To add to this perfect storm, I was admitted to the hospital and was there for about a week. I am sorry for the problems which occurred during this tour.

The Tour began 9/25, the hurricane hit 9/28. Hotel & attraction reservations should have been made weeks or month before this tour began. Tour guide stated she was in contact with you by cell phone daily; she also stated you were inland at a hotel, safe with internet & cell service.Elite Tours Response

The Elite****** website brochure (September 12th - 21st, 2021) tour states:
"Three National Parks await you: Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park, and
Grand Teton National Park; however we only did a drive-by of the Grand Tetons. Upon returning home, we called Steve and he said it was his decision to give us a full day tour of Glacier National Park (instead of a 1/2 day tour as stated on the itinerary) which "cost me more money". This made no sense because a 1/2 day tour was what we were expecting, NOT the exclusion of the Grand Tetons. We did NOT visit ANY of the following (as was stated on the itinerary) Cathedral of Saint Helena, Conrad Mansion, Colter Bay visitor center, Jenny Lake Visitor Center, NOR did we tour the Museum of the Rockies. We were told by the tour guide the Museum of the Rockies was "closed because of staffing issues." This was not true because on the museum's website AND a on phone call to the Museum they state(d): "We were closed due to a
pre-planned Donor Event, not because of staffing issues. It states on our website we were planned to be closed." So, this was a made-up story about them being closed due to staffing issues. I know Elite's information states they "reserve the right to reroute or change any itinerary" as Steve reminded me on our phone call; however, he blamed COVID when actually, NONE of these attractions were shut down by COVID. I'm giving a two star review because of the reasons stated above. GREAT DRIVING BY LINDY, and she deserves five stars!!

After recently seeing and marveling over the Grand Canyon, the song lyrics, "How deep the Father's love for us, how vast beyond all measure" by Stuart ******* came to mind. Even though the canyon tour was much too short, thank you Elite for offering a 2021 opportunity to view this majestic wonder that God has created. Our take-away - when at the canyon, don't let consumerism or trip plans gone awry distract your focus from the God who created this marvelous treasure for us to enjoy. What an awesome God! He is our Solid Rock!
