In September 2022 I started researching apartments in the ***** area as my son wanted to attend *************** in the area. I found Apple Creek to be near the school and necessary shopping. On discussion with management, I felt that I had found an apartment that was updated and clean. I cosigned the lease for him with the understanding that he would take over all payments after he was working. Once in the apartment however, my son found it to be run down and dated. The bathtub drain was clogged with paint and could not be used (this was fixed after 2 attempts). The washer in the apartment was coated with some dark buildup; attempting to use it resulted in destruction of items washed. There was constant noise: slamming doors 24/7, someone walking heavily on the floor above. At one point a drill was used at midnight to the floor overhead. He could get no sleep. Sewer odor permeated areas of the apartment. There was a foul, fecal-odor when the heating unit was turned on (sprayed with deodorizer by maintenance). My son could not deal with these issues, stopped reporting concerns to management ***************************************. ********************************************************************. He notified the apartment management that he had consciously evicted the first part of Dec. Since then I have covered the rent, which we agreed until apart. is rented. I don't feel AC Apts are really trying to rent this apartment, it remains on the list while other units fall off. I feel that I was taken advantage of initially because the apartment was in such poor condition when I rented it. But as it was sight unseen, they were able to rent it to me. Now I am on the hook, and they can keep bleeding me for the rentwhy rent it out again? I have been up front with them about what happened. I really need some help as I cannot afford to keep this up.
