Hartland Homes Response
10/20/2021
Our warranty team has been to their home multiple times over the years and we personally visited Mrs. ********* at her home to talk to her. While there, we agreed on a solution, which was to wait until the house stopped moving and then we would repair the cosmetic damages created by the movement. By waiting until it has settled, it will be fixed a final time instead of repeat visits. We suggested the waiting period be for 6 months and then we would reassess. All of this, our company agreed to do, even though her one year warranty had expired 13 months ago and there is no structural warranty on the home.
The next week after our agreement, she emailed us and told us she no longer accepted that solution and she wanted us to pay one of 3 companies over $75,000 to fix her foundation OR buy her house for her pre-determined amount. We agreed to buy her house back for a fair price but not what she wanted. Within a week of her rejecting our offer, she put in this bad review instead of working towards a solution.
Our warranty team has been out to the *********** home on numerous occasions, prior to this one, to do warranty work long after the one-year warranty has expired. We have offered several solutions to the current issue, even though our workmanship is not the cause. We thought we had a workable solution but instead received this negative review.
