Most unprofessional transaction I have ever been a part of. My wife and I used a relator from Caldwell. We looked for a house with her for nearly a year and put in several offers. She could never get us a deal, thus she could not make commission. To no fault of ours. Me and my wife decided we wanted to go a different route. When we informed our relator of this, she immediately went on the defensive and said she would take part of the commission from any relator we hired since we had a buyers agreement. We reached out to the broker at the branch and asked for a release from our relator so we could go another route. He then began to be little me asking what I thought her time was worth and how he doesn't have to do anything for me. When I told him if he didn't want to release us, we would just go a different route all together. He then yelled at me and told me then do it and hung up the phone. He was very rude in text messages as well. He finally sent us a release, however, just to be spiteful he worded the release to state that if we bought a house in the next 127 days, we would owe him 25% of the final cost. I then have text of him lying saying that's not what the contract says, until I sent him screen shots. He then said yes, I owe him 25%. The release would cost more than violating the buyers agreement, and lasted longer. He did this in hopes we would sign and he would make a ton of money off of us. It is clear to us the company is far more concerned with making the quick buck than helping families find a home. I understand business's need to make money, but to do so in this manner was unacceptable. I would not recommend dealing with them to anyone.
