I have to fight with them over everything! The website gave an estimate for $23 for an exam at my specific hospital but I got charged $115. I get that it was an estimate but that's 400 percent over the estimate. Customer service is clueless and English doesn't have to be their first language but they should be able to speak it well enough that my brain isn't ready to explode trying to decipher what they are saying to me. They tried to charge me $108 for a check up for Covid saying that the doctor was out of network when it clearly states on the website that they are In-Network. They are forcing my pharmacist to ask me why I need a particular medication and how I plan to use it or they won't cover it?!?! Isn't that against HIPPA or something? If they REALLY need to question the legitimacy of a prescription shouldn't they contact my doctor directly? This insurance costs more than what I was paying before the ACA was enacted! Who's pocketing the extra $500 from the government that I don't pay? ***Review from Anne S

They charged me double the copay, for an in network primary care MD, and the in network visit ( meet and greet) at the in network facility. I have no prescriptions, and got no labs. They keep calling to leave messages about telehealth, which I am not interested in. I was an RN for 16 years. I can see a scam here. I am waiting to see what they bill me for my free screening mammogram. I did ask for the free screening. I called to make sure the radiology site is in network. I am over 55 years old, this should be free. They get over $1000 per month from *** and about $100 from me per month for premiums. They give me and the government nothing for this cash. I won't be using Aetna next year.Review from Arlene M

This is the worst insurance company I've ever had. They demand the monthly payment but they refuse to pay your claims. And you can't speak to a supervisor to complain. They outsource business to foreign countries and the workers lie to you that a supervisor will call you back. They never do. They don't care. Don't sign up with them. Aetna CVS should be investigated for taking people's money and mot providing the serviceReview from Brenda S

I had been looking for some dental coverage and had called a few times. I was given the option of several plans with different coverages. Some of the policies would not take affect until the 1st of the following month but I wanted one that would start right away. They found a policy that I was told would start "immediately" and it had decent coverage. It had a higher monthly premium of around $68 a month. So I took out the plan on 8/24/2023 in the morning. I had a tooth that was bothering me so I called the dentist and they said they could see me that afternoon so I went in to see my dentist. I paid the bill when I left as I was going to send it into the insurance. I completed the form from Continental and faxed it and the paperwork from my dentist office. I got a notice on 9/22/2023 that my claim was being denied because my policy was not in effect until 8/25/23. I called the insurance and told them that I had taken out the policy on 8/24/2023 but they said that the policy wasn't issued until 8/25/2023 so I had no coverage on 8/24/2023. I asked if they could check the recording with the gentleman that I spoke with as I'm sure that he said the policy would take affect immediately. They are still denying my claim and I have cancelled my policy. And it took me several phone calls and several hours on the phone being transferred between one person and then another and then another.Review from Kita S

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am trying to give them a chance, but they are terrible and customer service is completely incompetent. They will deny a doctor in-network that you are seeing, due to the location of his surgery facility. AGAIN THE DOCTOR IS IN-NETWORK BUT HIS SURGERY CENTER IS NOT!!!!!!! MAKE THAT MAKE SENSE!!!!!!!! IVE FILED MY COMPLAINT WITH THE INSURANCE COMMISSIONER!!!!!! I WILL NOT STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE TERRIBLEReview from Kathleen L

I think this happened unknowingly when my son was seeking a "gap" insurance while he looked for a full tine job after graduation. Mind you, I am retired and not in need of any insurance. My son found a full time job in approx 2 months after graduation. Suddenly, I began to see monthly amounts being deducted from my bank account for an insurance payment. I contacted Aetna to demand that they stop debiting my bank account but I had to eventually pay to have a stop payment placed on my account, after they had taken $186.12. Mind you, the policy is in my son's name. I was told by the representative that I needed to have the policy number to be issued a refund. I was able to get the policy number from my son, but when I called and gave it to them, they insist that my son needs to be the one to call. I have been trying to get this money refunded but they keep telling me that my son has to call in to provide the policy number. I will continue to try to have the refund credited back to my bank account.Review from Sandra S

Why do you charge me twice a month for your services? You end up getting close to 300.00 every month! Why?! ************Review from Michelle S

I am currently a North Carolina Medicaid recipient, for some reason ****** ****** from Medicaid is not accept. It at a lot of specialty doctors. so I went online and tried to request information about a supplemental insurance. only had a conversation with someone she took down my phone number my address and my email address I was told I needed to pay a small premium so I told her being that I was on disability I need it to crunch my numbers. I contacted ****** ********** about trying to add a supplemental insurance and was told that it would interfere with what Medicaid would pay for so I immediately lost interest. I continue to get unwanted solicitation and emails from Aetna CVS healthcare. They told me that I was in danger of my coverage being stopped if I didn’t provide pertinent information, I never agreed to being a participant with this insurance company. I never replied to any of their emails. I never sent them any pertinent information and from what I understand someone fraudulently enrolled me in this insurance, which is not my Medicaid out I was told that as long as Aetna was listed me as a participant, they would be my primary and Medicaid would be secondary, so Medicaid did not pay for any of my doctor visits, I started receiving bills in the mail for claims that were not paid by United Healthcare because Aetna health, which I never agreed to, I only had a conversation with someone from this business, never agreed to be a participant never pay the premium and now they’re giving me the runaround. I was supposed to be sent a termination letter to customer service representatives lied to me and told me that they would email me within 48 hours a termination letter and I told him how can I be terminated when I never was a participant! It is truly a shame the deception that these businesses out here are practicing I am on disability I live check to check with a high cost of living and everything else. These people should stop their illegal practices, so sad!
