These people are snakes. The messaged me with a sympathetic, caring message when responded, then immediately started to pitch me on their inpatient program. It turns out, they have an A.I. bot messaging people, pretending to care. They seem like complete capitalists who wish to profit off of human suffering and substance abuse. Avoid them like the extractive plague they are. They don't care about you. They only care about how many greenbacks they can syphon from your bank account.Review from Jennifer S

Would give zero stars if possible. The intake "navigator" that spoke to me regarding my situation was both condescending and rude. I would never work with these people.Review from Sandra B

Our adult married son, who was struggling with drug addiction had been thrust upon us. We were grateful when we discovered AdCare, located across the country from us, that seemed promising for our son's recovery. I shared every detail I knew about his addiction with AdCare. On the day designated for his journey to recovery, we accompanied him to the airport, only to receive a distressing call from AdCare Rhode Island on our way home, informing us they were unable to admit him as planned due to lack of available beds. This occurred just as he was boarding the plane with his suitcase already checked and destined for Rhode Island. Their solution: they would reroute him once he arrived at Midway. This meant that his bag would be left unattended. I suggested he stay at a hotel for the night of October 19 in RI and be picked up the following morning. I had never requested financial assistance from them, so I proceeded to arrange a prepaid, non-refundable hotel room near the airport. AdCare called again, stating an opening had unexpectedly become available and they could admit our son. I had to rush back to ***********, imploring them to refund the non-refundable booking. Assured someone from AdCare would be present at the airport to receive our son, we hoped for a smoother process. After nearly two hours of waiting, a **** driver eventually arrived. Our son went through airport security in Phoenix, and his belongings were subjected to searches at AdCare, and he was ultimately detained in detox for three days. Upon release in the facility, it was discovered he had managed to procure drugs. The source of these drugs remain unknown. AdCare transferred our son to ******* Hospital, leaving my husband with a distressing call hours later, announcing our son had been expelled and we needed to arrange for return of his belongings. AdCare demonstrated a lack of concern for someone who traveled thousands of miles to be entrusted to their care.Review from Briyuna M

They spent all your money and don't tell you the amount they used. They use your insurance to stock up their medications storage. They didn't give me all the right medication that I was on. I didn't get a refund on my things I didn't receive. They don't take domestic violence victims safety seriously. The nurses vareky know how to do their job and cause more pain than actually being helpful. They are disrespectful and have favorites. This facility only cares about scamming insurances so please be careful.Review from Jordan S

The way this facility is a complete profit scheme. They tell you your insurance will cover one amount when you do the assessment and then Brittany in the business office tells you that you have to pay 90% of the rent amount to stay in their transitional living facility because her assumption on the patients situation is entirely different than what the assessment with AAC because it's a profit making scheme and a bait and switch tactic. She purposely overcharges a patient so they have to pay out of pocket opposed to what they qualify for that AAC tells them. She avoids refunding patients money that are due to them and constantly lies to cover her tracks. She has no problem if a patient winds up back in the streets and homeless if she doesn't get some type of payment in front of her. It's illegal in every way and discrimination. Don't go to this facility period. There are other ones locally that take all types of insurance and more friendly and organized.Review from Laura B.

********** staff was supposed to be drug testing frequently, 4 times per day, for a patients drug of choice. ********** *** had not been testing my daughter per their own "rules". She asked them to test her, and they then alleged it was positive and refused to retest her again. We were literally told at 5:55pm that she had to be out by 6:pm. They gave her no discharge paperwork, and she never received a copy of any paperwork she signed while she was there. When we called the facility to discuss, they lied and said she has rescinded authority for them to speak with us however, my daughter did not, nor did she sign any documents to that affect. After picking her up, I immediately gave her 4 drug tests for the drug they claim she tested positive for and all were negative. Took her to a lab the next morning, and the ******* test result was NEGATIVE! She was also given a 12 panel test and again she was negative for EVERYTHING! As the center called him, "The Big Man", the administrator in charge, was calling the shots the night she was wrongfully kicked out! She was kicked out with no continuum of care information, suggestions of other facilities, or transportation. How does a treatment center who's mission is to help people, just kick them out with no resources, and in our case, wrongly as their test was incorrect. They are unethical, and have an issue with truth telling.American Addiction Centers, Inc. Response

My daughter was sent a plane ticket from Arkansas to Dallas with a promise that she would receive detox services, residential treatment, and help finding a sober living facility. The problem was they did not first check to see if her insurance would cover their services. After four days of detox she was told she would have to leave in a few days because her insurance would not cover. They did not provide transportation home. This is an unethical practice. I would give zero stars but that is not an option.Review from Winston P

Wish I could leave no stars This place has a hotline that lies and gets paid off sending people here telling your approved for 60 days then they tell you the day your leaving that what they told you is not true. Body brokering is an illegal profit scheme. Some rehab facilities use this scheme to generate an ongoing supply of patients—and their insurance money. They can't control covid out breaks and if you get it they kick you out. They wait till the day your leaving your leaving that day. Then they try to tell you can't go to the place there where you sending you. They don't help with after care. They'll kick people out with no where to go and don't even offer them a ride. There pictures online are not even the current building. Save yourself go somewhere else.Review from Jason F

The additional treatments listed on the website are not available: Acupuncture Art Therapy Sound chair Equine Therapy When I approached the assistant director, he advised that bureaucracy & insurance made it difficult for them to provide them. He further stated that the website was controlled by corporate. Considering corporate is receiving payment from insurance based on false information, it seems reasonable that they should be truthful in the representation of the services & amenities available. *There is an asterisk on next to them saying these may be limited due to COVID. Since that is NOT true I would like them to update their website. they also report they have a pool (pictured/mentioned on website) that is non existent. They also lock clients out of their room each day in an effort to get people to go to class. And yet people hang out & smoke in specified areas & do not attend classes. While those who attend most of the classes like myself are unable to access their rooms.
