      On 8/19/2021, Stone World came to my home as a sub-contractor for **********, to install a kitchen countertop I purchased from ********** back in July 2021. At the time of purchase I paid $250 for a plumber, but no plumber showed up at my home the day of installation, so Stone World disconnected the water. After the countess installed they told me not to use the countertop for 24 hours. When they asked me to sign a form saying I was satisfied with their work, being a single woman and never having had a new countertop installed in my home before, I didn't think to look under the sink to see if the water had been shut off completely. Stone World left the water trickling, which after 24 hours, had damaged my kitchen floor. Now both Stone World and ********** are refusing to repair the damage they caused to my home. Word to the wise: don't give anyone your business that doesn't value their customers or stand by their mission statement. Hopefully this will save someone else from having to go through what I've been dealing with for the last 5 months. I was a loyal customer to ********** and this is how they show their appreciation!!

      We worked closely with our customer to resolve this issue when it was brought to our attention on August 25, 2021 through our regular channels with **********, approximately five days after installation of the countertops. It is very unfortunate that she experienced water damage in her home, but neither Stone World nor our subcontractors are licensed plumbers and therefore we do not disconnect or reconnect plumbing. The customer signed the standard ********** Project Expectation Pamphlet on July 13, 2021 which states that the customer is responsible for disconnecting all plumbing before installation can occur. The customer subsequently signed a Home Services Installation Customer Approval on August 20, 2021 confirming she was completely satisfied with the installation. Our subcontractor who did the installation has also confirmed that he complied with company policy and did not disconnect or reconnect the plumbing. Even though we did not handle the plumbing, we decided to make the extraordinary effort to satisfy her by allowing ********** to submit a claim to our insurance company and our subcontractor's insurance company. We were notified on October 4, 2021 that both had denied the claim. Stone World has been in business since 2011, proudly serving the Nashville area, and we take great pride in ensuring that our customers are pleased with our work. In this particular case, we believe we have gone above and beyond to satisfy her.

      Stone World most certainly did disconnect my water. They better give their workers a lie detector test to see if they're telling the truth. Or you can contact the plumber that came to my home, David S**** @ +1 (***) ********* the day after the installation, 1/21/21 because my kitchen floor was flooded. ********** dropped the ball as far as sending a plumber to my home, a plumber I paid $250 for but they never sent. If I didn't pay for a plumber then why did ********** reimburse me the $250 I paid after the damage happened to my kitchen? **** has a copy of the date I was reimbursed the charge for something that wasn't provided.

      Someone also needs to reach out to Ken G**** ************ from ********** and ask for the kitchen department. He was at my home when I called the plumber David S****. Ken was the first person I called on 7/21/21 when I found my kitchen floor flooded because the water hadn't been shutoff properly. David is my witness that Ken was at my home and Ken also grabbed the receipt from the plumber so I wouldn't have proof I had to call a plumber after the installation to fix the leak Stone World caused!

      Nobody worked closely with me to resolve this issue. Everyone passed the buck! Unfortunately your subcontractors did disconnect the water. They are lying. I certainly didn't do it. These lies will one day catch up with these businesses that didn't stick by there job they did, and hopefully you'll regret the way you treated me as a customer. I will make people aware of your company lack of customer satisfaction.
