I would like to say JON has a very awesome and well behaved dog. After TRYING to use his mechanical services, I can say this man Should have been a dog trainer instead! when you have someone’s work truck for two months…. won’t finish the job…. then won’t release the property and take payment for what ever you have done/NOT DONE. All I wanted was to pay the man for a job well done. Instead I have had to involve the police for a ‘’ keep the peace call’’ that he refused pay during because he will ONLY take cash now…. Even though in the beginning this man used the square app to take $1,800.00 from me. So I go to ****** 5 min away…. And lo and behold when I come back to his shop…JON IS GONE and his employee CANT TAKE CASH! OR RELEASE MY TRUCK! Insane I know…. At this point the detectives have enough information and I have the recordings to prove everything JON is going to either release my truck this morning or be arrested for theft! I am truly astonished at the way he has proven to be stubborn and harmful to his reputation in such a small community. #Smyrna #murfreesboro #rutherfordcounty #lavergnetn

Oh, my goodness. So many inaccuracies and lies. Let me address them individually. The customer was told at the beginning It would be 2 to 3 weeks before we could look at your truck because we are swamped. With only Jon doing all the work you said that was OK as the truck was a backup and you needed it fixed! On June 1 an estimate was done and a down payment was made. At that time the parts were ordered, the customer was told that the parts should be delivered within 10 days, on the 8th of June the lift pump arrived but the injection pump did not! On the 9th I was made aware that there was a problem with supply and that an injection pump was not available with my supplier, so a new pump was ordered from another supplier. the customer was made aware of this. The injection pump was delivered on the afternoon late on the 16th of June, your truck was pushed into my shop that afternoon, that was a Friday. the next week the truck was worked on, at that time it was made clear that there had been very little maintenance done to this truck! The fuel filter was black and degraded, falling apart. The engine oil was a gallon low! So oil change and filters had to be done as well. Then the fuel tank was covered with about 2 to 3 inches of dried hard mud, as a result I had to cut the lift pump plug off as I could not unplug no matter how hard I tried!! That was repaired. At no cost to the customer. On Monday the26th of June the repairs were complete, I tried to start the truck and realized that there was a big problem, the injection lines were leaking from pin holes up by the injector heads, this is a good indicator that the injection pump failure was catastrophic, meaning it had sent shrapnel up the injector lines causing pin holes! The customer was made aware, and he came un glued over the phone, I told him I wasn’t going to listen to his ranting so I said goodbye and hung up the phone! He tried to call back 2 or 3 times and started the ranting with Mike my part time office help he hung up as well, I will not be yelled at over the phone! The customer showed up at the shop he threw a credit card at me and demanded that I move his truck outside so he could get it towed to a more reputable shop, I told him that I needed to finish assembling the truck and I would not take payment till then as the invoice was not finished! The next morning injector lines arrived the customer was notified that I had them, and asked if he wanted me to install them his reply was a very nasty no and he wanted to pay and pick up his truck. I replied fine, whatever you want. He was informed how much he owed and was told that the only payment acceptable was cash! That is a shop policy that has been in effect for over 10 years and applies to problem customers only. On the 27th of June, Smyrna police showed up, they informed me that Daylan had called them. Told me I could not hold his truck hostage, and that I had to accept any payment he wanted to present! Also they told me that what I was doing was theft and they could arrest me, I refused to budge the police said that they were going to talk to a detective and if he agreed with them they would be back to arrest me! I informed them that I was leaving the shop to run errands, they told me that if a warrant was issued, they would return the next morning! I left about 3:20 or so ****** came to the shop at around 3:40 and asked Mike for his truck. Mike informed him that he didn’t have authority and he needed to call me to verify that it was ok, as Mike was talking to me and I was telling him that if ****** had cash to take it and move the ford in front of the door, but before I finished ****** stormed out of the shop! So, I told Mike not to worry about it I would handle it in the morning. The next morning ****** showed up around 8:20 or so and his truck was paid for in cash and was released to his tow truck driver when he arrived. Throughout this whole ordeal I talked to ****** 3 times on the phone and all three times the calls were him threatening what he was going to do! When he came to the shop on the 26th of June, he was so nasty that I told him to leave! I am a very blunt person and I will stand up for myself or anyone else, if needed! ****** has a video of me hollering at him and in it I told him that I was doing what he did to me and for that I do apologize but for standing up for myself I don’t! As for the time it took some was parts and some was do to the fact, I’m 60 years old and I can’t move like I’m 30 so it takes me a little longer to get things finished! Also, by law, the only payment I cannot refuse is us currency, there is no law that says I have to accept credit or debit cards as they charge me to process them! ****** is a nasty piece of work and his attitude and actions will cost him in the long run! And in the end, there was no arrest warrant and I assume that the Smyrna pd realized that I was with in my rights doing what I did! Jonathan S *******. 07/04/2023
