I purchased a vehicle with this dealership. It was a 2019 Avalon Touring fully equipped. Brand New this vehicle sold for $42,350...the price they sold it to me was $45,925! This is Bad Business! Plus, sold me $2,900 Extended Warranty I didn't know I was buying and added it on to my Contract. So, my Finance amount came to $47,997 on a seven year loan total $70,826! The Blue Book value on this car is $25,400! The Dealership said, I could come back in Six months and Refinance...I told them I wanted to be around $400 a month. The high pressure of 4-6 employees had me stress out and confused. What they had promised was **...just to get a Sale. I'm getting the run around even from upper Management! I'm paying a $1,050 a month on a vehicle that was over priced! There has been a lot of Shady Dealing going on with this Dealership! I am looking at Legal Actions again this Dealership Toyota of Hopkinsville! Buyers Beware.Review from Bianca M

The car has electrical issues. The paint has chipping issues. Check engine light will not come on even with a misfire. Here is an undeniable reference. This car was I paid in full 20k including interest. There is no word from the dealer to take care of this. They knew what was going on so we went for another opinion: Here is a Link: **************************************************Review from Steven L

This afternoon I received the attached mailer from your dealership. I am a resident of Pleasant View, TN and I live about 45 minutes from you. My 8 y/o son opened the mail and was excited to learn that we won $1000. My wife explained to him it was probably a trick, but after he insisted, we called your dealership and spoke to Bill B*****. He spoke to my son and told him that he was indeed a winner and just needed to come in and claim his prize. When I got home from work, my son handed me the flier. I called your dealership and spoke with Bill, who told me and I quote, “the prizes are already purchased and we are dying to give them away.” He asked me if I needed a new car and I told him I might be interested if we could lower my current car payment. I gave him very specific details and numbers and he said, “oh man, you’ll be walking out of here with at least $1500.” So I took the plunge and drove 45 minutes to Hopkinsville. When I arrived, Bill took my keys and took my truck over to be appraised. As soon as he did, it was very clear to me that this was indeed a scam. When I asked him for my prize money, Bill pointed to the prize box told me there might still be $100 in there. I told him that’s not what I understood. Bill asked me I read the fine print. I did. I explained how incredibly misleading the whole thing was and Bill told me this was all a ploy to get me to come in and that he would make it up to me with a great deal on a car. Bill then continued to string me along promising me he could get me a great deal. I felt humiliated and lied to and I just wanted to leave, but I came all this way and he had the keys to my car. I felt intimidated and uncomfortable the entire time. I would like to bring your attention to the Kentucky Consumer Protection Act specifically section 367.170 “any unfair, false, misleading, or deceptive acts or practices in the conduct of trade or commerce are declared unlawful and forbidden.”Review from Tris A

They sent out mailers. Mine said I won 5k and when I called to confirm they told me I was a winner. WRONG! Got there and I spun this thing and got a 2 dollar bill and a little cute story about it. That’s not cool. I live 30 minutes away in the pouring rain. so that was an hour round trip I’ll never get back. Just to get people in your dealership is so wrong.Toyota of Hopkinsville Response

We are in the middle of a third-party sales event that has issued an approved mailer designed to generate foot traffic to the dealership. These sales are legal and are a successful part of our business model. There is a disclaimer on every flyer that explains the bank qualifications as well as the rules associated with the lottery ticket. The disclaimer clearly states that you have to be present to claim your prize and that the number on your unique ticket has to match the codes that are displayed at the dealership. The disclaimer further states that there is no purchase or donation necessary and the odds of winning any prize are clearly represented. The third-party event disclosure informs potential winners that if they do not have the winning numbers, they will receive at random selection, a prize of $2.00 to $100.00, whichever amount is drawn by the customer. We clearly understand that a thirty-minute drive maybe inconvenient, however we do leave it up to individual judgement as to whether it is worth their trouble to come out and participate in the event. Thank you for your feedback.Review from Lora J

Terrible car dealership. Josh M*** salesman lied to us. The GM was arrogant. Please stay far away from this dealership. We had to learn the hard way that Josh fed us with a pack of Lies. The dealership told us that even if the loan was in my moms name that she could insure her granddaughter and then put the car in my name….all was a lie after we called the insurance agent and county clerk and they all said No you can’t do that. I ended up calling Toyota Enrichment center to file multiple complaints about this dealership. Finally the GM ended the contract. 3 weeks of living in a nightmare. Stay away from this dealship.Review from Chelen M

This dealership scammed my disabled veteran brother after he received one of their prize flyers showing he had won a Camry; he called to verify before driving almost an hour to the dealership to find that he was completely scammed. I called afterwards to make a complaint, and of course I was given excuses, put on hold, then told that everyone was in a meeting. This is unacceptable and is a complete disservice to the people who serve, and any other well intentioned customers. These false advertising tactics need to be seriously addressed with this dealership.Toyota of Hopkinsville Response

The dealership strives to provide exceptional customer service and we are sorry to hear of your brother’s experience as well as any misunderstanding. The event flyers are sent to approximately 60,000 individuals of the general public at large with no particular specifications. Customers must bring the flyers to the event in order to verify prize. The flyers disclose all event and promotional details. We understand this doesn’t change what has already been experienced; however we hope it helps clear any concerns.Review from David S

This dealership is marking automobiles up 4-5 thousand dollars above the MSRP and they are taking advantage of long time customers. Ripping them off and smiling at you when they do it I Highly do NOT recommend doing business with these crooksToyota of Hopkinsville Response

Toyota of Hopkinsville contacted customer and offered full value back on the vehicle. Customer respectfully declined.Customer Response

Toyota of Hopkinsville contacted me and offered $43,000 for the truck to buy it back. I bought the truck for $46,102. So their offer was $3000.00 short . I was already in a deal with another dealership when this offer occurred. It was senseless for Toyota of Hopkinsville to try and buy my truck back after the fact of over charging me in the first placeCustomer Response

I purchased a 22 Tacoma from Toyota of Hopkinsville. I did not like the truck so I traded it into another dealership for a bigger truck.
I took my paper work to Toyota of Hopkinsville so I could get a refund on the Platinum Extended Warranty plan and Gap Insurance I had purchased. The finance manager helped me with the paper work and said when the other dealership paid off my vehicle he would turn in the paper work for my refund.
Toyota Financial canceled my Gap Insurance and sent a prompt refund.
The paper work I filled out for the refund of my Platinum extended warranty at the Toyota of Hopkinsville Dealership was never submitted by the finance manager.
I called Toyota Financial today 2/4/22 and checked on the status of my refund $3200 and they said the paper work was never summited. The gentleman from Toyota Financial was very helpful in getting this extended warranty canceled for me.
I am a long time customer with Toyota of Hopkinsville and I do not recommend this dealership to anyone! Beware of this dealership!Toyota of Hopkinsville Response
